Broadcloth is a cloth material that appears in some community guides and legacy tips for Windrose, but it cannot be obtained in the live build. It does exist in the extracted item data as a Common resource with a stack size of 20, and two Enchanting Table recipes consume it. Every other link in those chains is disabled, which is why the material never surfaces in normal play: the only container that holds Broadcloth is an unused supply box, the second ingredient in both recipes is an unused item, and both outputs are unused items as well. That state was rechecked in September 2026 against the 0.10.0.8 data extraction and had not changed. No recipe produces Broadcloth.

Why the Article Exists
Earlier community guides and some fan-wiki pages tagged Broadcloth as a Common resource, Item Level 4. The Common rarity is right and matches the extracted item data. The Item Level 4 part is not: the live Item Level system for Common resources uses Level 1 across the board, and Level 4 is not used at the Common tier. The rest of the picture points the same way in every case. Broadcloth is wired into a placeholder crafting chain that the live build never exposes, which fits a material staged for future content rather than one cut from an earlier build. It is also listed as an Ashlands Key Discovery, so the most likely reading is that it belongs to the unreleased fourth biome.
What to Use Instead
For cloth production in the current launch build, the standard materials are:
Coarse Fabric - base Common tier, 3 Plant Fiber to 1 Coarse Fabric at the Workbench.
Linen Fabric - Uncommon tier, 3 Flax Fiber to 1 Linen Fabric at the Spinning Wheel (30 second craft).
Tarred Fabric - water-resistant tier, 1 Linen Fabric + 1 Tar to 1 Tarred Fabric at the Tanning Rack.
Fabric Arborum - Enchanted tier, 1 Linen Fabric + 1 Essence Arborum + 1 Tar at the Enchanting Table (45 second craft).
