Initial version
A household in inZOI is a group of Zois who share a home lot and financial resources. The player controls all Zois in the active household, switching between them with the Space key. Household management covers adding and removing members, financial oversight, and coordinating daily life across multiple Zois.
Property | Limit |
|---|---|
Maximum Household Size | 8 Zois |
Minimum Household Size | 1 Zoi |
Playable Zois | All household members |
Pets | Count toward the 8-Zoi limit where applicable |
New Zois can join a household through several methods:
Method | Requirements |
|---|---|
Spouse moves in after wedding ceremony | |
New Zoi born after 3-day pregnancy; requires available household slot | |
Adopt a child through the adoption system | |
Ask to Move In | Invite a Zoi with high friendship to join the household |
Add a new custom Zoi to an existing household |
Zois can leave a household through:
Divorce: The ex-spouse moves out
Ask to Move Out: Request a household member to leave
Moving: Relocate specific Zois to a different household or lot
Death: Natural or accidental death removes the Zoi permanently
Running Away: Zois with critically low Recognition leave permanently
All household members share a single Meow balance. Income from all employed Zois pools together, and expenses (bills, food, furniture purchases) draw from the same fund. This means a household with multiple working Zois accumulates wealth faster, but also needs to budget for more mouths to feed.
The player can switch between active Zois using the Space key. Each Zoi has their own needs, emotions, skills, and career progress. The Autonomy system (toggled with T) lets uncontrolled household members take care of themselves to varying degrees.
Keep household size in mind before weddings or pregnancies. The 8-Zoi limit is firm.
Multiple working Zois maximize income. Coordinate schedules so someone is always home for childcare.
Use the Pocket Market babysitting service when all adults need to be out simultaneously.
Enable Autonomy for Zois you are not actively controlling so they handle basic needs themselves.
