Charm Skill

The Charm skill in inZOI measures a Zoi's ability to be romantically appealing and socially magnetic. It is the primary skill governing romance and flirtation. Unlike most other skills, Charm does not unlock new furniture or interactions at higher levels. Instead, it improves the success rate and effectiveness of romantic actions, making it easier to build and maintain relationships.

How to Level Charm

Charm experience is earned through romantic interactions, reading specific books, and other love-related activities. There are several methods available, ranging from solo activities to direct social interactions.

Reading Books

Reading romance and self-help books is one of the most efficient ways to level Charm, especially early on. Books can be read at a bookshelf or on a tablet. Reading on a tablet is significantly faster because the Zoi does not need to walk to a bookshelf. Players have reported reaching Level 10 Charm in roughly one minute of real time by reading self-help books on a tablet with time acceleration enabled.

Romantic Interactions

Engaging in romantic conversations and actions with other Zois is the core way to build Charm through gameplay. Romantic options become available once two Zois reach approximately 20% friendship level. Before that threshold, only standard friendly interactions are available.

Failed romantic interactions still grant a small amount of Charm experience, so even unsuccessful flirting contributes to skill growth. However, repeated failures with the same Zoi can damage the relationship.

Other Methods

Browsing online dating on the computer is notable because it is a solo activity that does not trigger jealousy or relationship damage, even when the Zoi is already in a committed relationship.

Level Unlocks

Unlike most skills in inZOI, the Charm skill does not currently unlock new furniture items or special interactions at specific levels. Higher Charm primarily improves the success rate of romantic actions and increases the Charm XP gained per interaction.

Relationship Milestones

Building Charm and engaging in romantic interactions progresses relationships through a series of milestones:

1. Mutual Crush - Both Zois have expressed romantic interest in each other

2. Dating - The Zois have agreed to enter a romantic relationship

3. Sweethearts - The relationship has deepened beyond casual dating

4. True Love - The strongest romantic bond, representing a deep and committed relationship

Each milestone requires continued romantic interactions and a sufficiently high relationship level to progress. Moving too fast (such as confessing feelings before building enough rapport) can result in rejection and relationship damage.

Emotion Effects

The Aflutter emotion directly accelerates Charm skill gain. Zois who are feeling Aflutter (a state of romantic excitement) earn Charm experience faster from all sources. This emotion naturally occurs during successful romantic interactions, creating a positive feedback loop where early success makes further leveling easier.

Crime Connection

Charm has a minor connection to the crime system. Certain social manipulation actions in the criminal activity tree may benefit from a Zoi's overall social prowess, though Rhetoric is the more directly relevant skill for scam-type activities.

Tips

• Reading self-help books on a tablet with time acceleration is the fastest leveling method by far. Some players report reaching Level 10 in about one minute.

• Start with Flirtatious Jokes before attempting riskier moves like Confess Feelings to avoid early relationship damage.

• Wait until at least 20% friendship level before attempting romantic interactions with a new Zoi.

• Failed flirting attempts still grant Charm XP, so even unsuccessful attempts are not wasted.

• Browsing online dating on the computer is a safe way to gain Charm XP without risking any relationship.

• The Charmer trait gives the best synergy because of the frequent Aflutter state, which directly boosts Charm gain.

• If pursuing romance with multiple Zois, be aware that jealousy and relationship conflicts can occur if partners find out about each other.
