Canvas is inZOI's built-in content-sharing platform. Players upload their creations, others browse and download them, and a ranking system rewards popular creators. As of early 2026, over 470,000 creations have been uploaded to Canvas across all categories. On launch day alone, over 1.2 million players interacted with the platform.
Canvas is accessible both in-game and through a web browser at canvas.playinzoi.com. The web version lets you browse and favorite content without launching the game. Downloads initiated through the web sync to the game on your next session.
Seven types of content can be shared on Canvas:
Zois: Full character designs including facial features, body shape, and outfit. Downloading a Zoi gives you the complete character.
Faces: Just the facial design without body or clothing. Useful for applying a specific look to an existing Zoi.
Outfits: Clothing combinations. Download an outfit and apply it to any Zoi.
Lots: Complete properties built in Build Mode. Includes structure, rooms, and furniture.
Rooms: Individual room designs with walls, floor, ceiling, and furniture. Placeable inside any house.
Furniture: Individual pieces created with the 3D Printer or Custom Furniture tool.
Custom Poses: Player-created poses for Photo Mode or gameplay, created through the AI Emote tool.
Each upload supports up to four screenshot images for preview.
Create-a-Zoi: Browse Zois, faces, and outfits during character creation.
Play Mode: Download new content for the current household.
Build Mode: Download lots, rooms, and furniture presets while building.
City Editor: Download lots and structures for the Edit City tool.
The Canvas icon appears in each mode's interface. Clicking it opens the browser without leaving the current mode.
Canvas tracks popularity through a four-tier ranking based on cumulative likes and followers:
Newbie: Starting tier.
Silver: After accumulating a threshold of likes and followers.
Gold: Higher threshold. Indicates a consistently popular creator.
Diamond: The highest tier, for the most followed creators on the platform.
Higher-ranked creators appear more prominently in search results and recommendations.
Separate from creator ranking, TOP Ranking highlights the most popular individual posts over specific time periods. Posts that get a surge of likes in a short window can reach the TOP Ranking regardless of the creator's overall tier, giving new content a chance at visibility.

The February 2026 mini update improved Canvas with better content filters and a unified mod management interface. These changes make it easier to search, sort, and manage downloaded content and mods in one place.
To upload, save your creation (Zoi preset, lot, room, etc.), then select upload. The form asks for a title, up to four screenshots, tags, and a category. Builds uploaded from Build Studio have staging lighting stripped automatically.
Downloaded items sync on the next session. Lots appear in Building Presets, Zois appear in Create-a-Zoi, and furniture appears in the relevant Build Mode tab. There is no limit on downloads.
Canvas currently operates as a content marketplace for single-player use. The planned multiplayer system (inZOI Online) will allow visiting other players' houses directly. The 2026 Roadmap includes phased multiplayer integration with house visits, online lobbies, and shared mod compatibility.
