Patch 1.0.3
July 11, 2026 at 10:50 PM
Added Hotfix (July 10, 2026) section: audio-channel leak fix, dialogue-camera fix, Trial of Fire brazier-order fix, build CL170775
Patch 1.0.3 is a post-launch update for Gothic 1 Remake released on July 2, 2026, the third numbered patch and the first update to add an in-game changelog screen so the notes can be read without leaving the game. It follows Patch 1.0.2 (June 19) and its June 22 hotfix. After it installs, the build version shown in the bottom-right corner of the Settings screen reads CL170287, which confirms the update applied. For the wider launch timeline, see Release History.
This part of the patch targets crashes, world-behaviour bugs, and interface issues across the whole game.

After updating, Patch 1.0.3 reports build version CL170287, shown in the bottom-right corner of the Settings screen; the July 10 hotfix advances it to CL170775. The patch notes are also readable in-game through the new changelog screen. As with earlier updates, the studio advised removing any installed modifications before updating, since some mods can be incompatible with the new build, and asked players to report remaining issues through the in-game bug-reporting form. See Engine and Modding for the mod-compatibility note.
