Where to Source Hardwood

Timber is crafted from Hardwood, and the only reliable source of Hardwood is the Divi-Divi Tree, a thick dark-wooded species that grows in small copses on Foothills islands.

Any axe tier will fell a Divi-Divi, but efficiency scales with the tool: a basic stone axe works, a Copper Axe is the standard mid-game upgrade, and an iron axe built from Foothills Iron Ingot is the common endgame option. Divi-Divi copses tend to attract wolves and other aggressive animals, so scout the area before committing to a long chopping trip.
