Role in the Celeste Questline
Beyond being an animal encounter, Summon - Legendary Wolf is tied to a House Celeste story mission also called Legendary Wolf. The mission sits inside the House Celeste faction chain, immediately after Abandoned Factory, and triggers once the player fast-travels back to Hernand after clearing that mission. Completing Legendary Wolf is the prerequisite for unlocking House Felix, whose first two missions are Family Concerns and Shackle-Breaking Hammer.
Legendary Wolf is the first of the four Legendary Animals questline checkpoints for House Celeste. The full Legendary Animals chain is started later by speaking to the Wandering Freesword NPC outside Lion Crest Manor, and that larger chain ultimately feeds into the Hernandian Parish of Solumen Ruined Chapel / Blooded Sanctum mission.
Does Not Unlock the Blooded Sanctum
A common misconception in the community is that completing Legendary Wolf alone unlocks the Ruined Chapel / Blooded Sanctum mission that drops the Greedy Lightningblade, Goldbranch Plate Crown, and Shadow Gloves. This is not the case. After Legendary Wolf, players must still push through House Felix, all nine Hernand outlaw bounties, House Circus Nemesis Demise, the Goldleaf Merchant Guild, the Scholar Stone Institute, the Powder Forest Guardians, the Beggars' Alliance, House Grace, the Kharonso Troll Alliance, and Celeste Frozen Elder Tree before starting the broader Legendary Animals chain at Lion Crest Manor and finishing What the Stars Left Behind. Only then does the Ruined Chapel mission trigger.
Why the Evade Stat is so High
The N/A Evade value in the stats table is the maximum signed 32-bit integer. It appears on several encounter-summon entities in the game's internal tables and functions as a sentinel value meaning effectively unavoidable rather than a practically rollable stat. The creature can still be defeated through normal combat, but the number should not be read as a balanced evade stat.
