The Spencer Pistol is a firearm in Crimson Desert and the starting ranged weapon for Damiane. Named after the fallen House Spencer (Damiane's noble family), this pistol is both a practical combat tool and a remnant of her former life.

With a base Attack Power of 16 and an Attack Speed bonus at Level 1, the Spencer Pistol is a strong all-around firearm that provides increased fire rate for faster ranged shots. It is the second-strongest pistol behind the Jemel Pistol and serves as Damiane's reliable ranged option from the moment she becomes playable.

The Spencer Pistol is part of Damiane's starting equipment, available from the moment the player gains access to her. It does not need to be purchased or crafted. Since it is starting gear, the Spencer Pistol cannot be sold and its merchant availability is not applicable.
Damiane's full starting loadout includes the Spencer Pistol alongside the White Wind Rapier, the Absolute Justice Greatsword with Sydmon Dagger, and the Demenissian Gold-Decorated Shield. This diverse loadout lets players experiment with different combat approaches right away.
The Spencer Pistol supports 10 refinement levels and 5 Abyss Core slots. As a starting weapon with strong base stats (16 Attack Power), investing in early refinements keeps the Spencer Pistol competitive well into the mid-game and even late-game with enough investment.
Players who do not want to spend Silver Coins on a Jemel Pistol (7.46 Silver) can stick with the Spencer Pistol by refining it aggressively. The two-point Attack Power gap between the Spencer (16) and Jemel (18) narrows relative to the total when both weapons are heavily refined, making the Spencer a viable long-term choice for budget-conscious players.
House Spencer was a noble family that fell before the start of the game. Damiane is its last surviving member. After the house's destruction, a swordmaster took her in and trained her in combat. She eventually made her way to Hernand, carrying the Spencer Pistol as one of the few remaining artifacts of her family's legacy.
The pistol's name is a quiet reminder of what Damiane lost. While other weapons are named after blacksmiths (Sydmon), regions (Varnian), or warriors (Bekker), the Spencer Pistol is named after a lineage. It is a personal weapon in a way that most equipment in the game is not, which gives it narrative significance beyond its stats.
Firearm | Attack | Secondary Bonus | How to Obtain |
|---|---|---|---|
12 | Critical Hit Chance Lv.2 | Craft (Iron Ore x5, Copper Ore x2) | |
11 | Attack Speed Lv.2 | Craft (Iron Ore x5, Copper Ore x2) | |
Spencer Pistol | 16 | Attack Speed Lv.1 | Damiane's starting equipment |
18 | Attack Speed Lv.1 | Buy: 7.46 Silver (Hernandian Equipment Shop) | |
12 | None | Buy: 1.50 Silver | |
12 | None | Buy: 2.53 Silver |
The Spencer Pistol has strong base stats that make it viable for the entire game if refined regularly. Damiane's pistol skills (Charged Shot, Evasive Shot, Quick Reload, and Focused Shot) all benefit from the 16 Attack Power base, producing solid damage without requiring a merchant purchase.
The Attack Speed Lv.1 bonus allows for quick follow-up shots between melee combos with Damiane's rapier or greatsword. The pistol slots naturally into her hybrid melee-ranged fighting style, providing a quick ranged option when enemies create distance or when you need to finish off a retreating target.
Players should treat the Spencer Pistol as a strong default that only needs replacing once the Jemel Pistol becomes available and affordable. For many players, that upgrade does not happen until mid-to-late game, so investing in the Spencer Pistol early is never wasted. Its personal significance to Damiane also makes it a satisfying weapon to keep equipped from a story perspective.
