Mount Connection (Patch 1.06.00)
Reading this sighting marks the White Tiger location on the map at the small lake south of Serpent Head Valley on the right side of the map, north of Delicia. As of Patch 1.06.00, the same site is also the only confirmed location to tame a permanent Tiger mount through the Special Mounts trust loop.
Known respawn bug: On saves where the legendary white tiger has been defeated and skinned, regular tigers may not respawn at the site. The legendary white lion's equivalent site does respawn correctly after the legendary kill, so the community treats the tiger respawn as a bug awaiting a patch fix rather than intentional behaviour. Pearl Abyss is expected to patch the inconsistency, but as of patch 1.07.00 the bug is still active. The safer route for players who want both rewards is to tame a regular tiger first on a save where the legendary is still alive, then handle the legendary on a separate save or after the patch lands. The legendary itself remains kill-only and cannot be tamed.
See Tiger for the full taming flow, including the bamboo stalk subdual method that prevents accidental kills, and Legendary Animals for the broader legendary-to-mount cross-reference introduced in the patch.
