Gameplay Bugs
Issue | Details | Status |
|---|---|---|
Wait feature breaks after second use | After using the "Wait" feature (beds or campfires) twice, the rest/wait option stops working entirely for the remainder of the session. | Acknowledged |
Quest auto-tracking failure | Completing certain quests does not trigger automatic tracking of the next objective. Players must open the quest log and manually select the next step. | Acknowledged |
Deferred Advance: Blackstar health bug | During the Deferred Advance quest, retrying or abandoning the Ultimate Weapon fight while Blackstar's Health is depleted causes Blackstar's Health to not fully recover on subsequent attempts. | Acknowledged |
Fruit theft character lockup | Attempting to steal fruit from the back of a market stall causes the player character to become completely unresponsive to controls. | Acknowledged |
Tree stuck glitch | Taking damage while holding or climbing a tree can clip the character through the trunk, sometimes getting the character permanently stuck. | Acknowledged |
Gregor revival softlock | During the Gregor, the Halberd of Carnage boss fight, if surrounding destructible objects break at the same moment the player character dies, revival becomes impossible and progress is blocked. | Acknowledged |
Platform-Specific Issues
Issue | Platform | Details | Status |
|---|---|---|---|
Random crashes | PS5 / PS5 Pro | Opening the map menu can trigger a hard crash. Patch 1.00.03 resolved the most common map crash, but sporadic crashes remain under investigation. | Partially fixed |
Game fails to launch | Xbox PC App / ROG Ally | The game cannot launch properly on the Xbox PC app or ROG Ally handhelds. A workaround involves booting offline, syncing save data, then reconnecting. | Under investigation |
Character switch bug | PS5 | Switching from another playable character back to Kliff can cause certain actions and interactions to stop functioning. | Fixed in Hotfix 1.00.04 |
Fishing reel-in broken | Xbox | The fishing reel-in function does not work when "Invert Right Stick Y-Axis" is enabled in device settings. | Acknowledged |
Pre-order items missing | Steam | Some Steam pre-order and Collector's Edition purchasers cannot claim their bonus pack items. | Under investigation |
Graphics and Technical Issues
Issue | Details | Status |
|---|---|---|
FSR 4 visual artifacts | Enabling AMD FSR 4 upscaling causes rain to disappear or introduces screen blurring and distortion in rainy environments. | Acknowledged |
Abyss visible from overworld | Under specific conditions, the Abyss can be seen from the world above, which also causes slight frame rate drops. | Acknowledged |
Settings not saving | In some cases, applied graphics and gameplay settings revert to previous values after restarting the game. | Acknowledged |
Negative bank investment returns | If bank investment returns go negative while the player has no gold bars deposited, the total balance drops to zero. Pearl Abyss recommends not investing less than 500 silver (1 gold bar) until a fix is released. | Acknowledged |
Fixes in Recent Patches
Patch 1.00.03 (March 23, 2026) resolved several high-priority issues:
PS5 map crash: The hard crash triggered by opening the map menu on PS5 and PS5 Pro has been fully resolved.
120 Hz output bug: A bug that caused dramatically reduced rendering resolution when 120 Hz output was enabled on PS5 has been fixed. 120 Hz is now a separate in-game toggle.
DualSense vibration on PC: DualSense controller haptic feedback now works correctly on Windows via USB and Bluetooth.
GPU recognition: Certain GPUs that were not detected at startup are now recognized properly.
