Added Pailune City deposit details and southeast hills farming spot
Epidote is a greenish gem mineral found in Crimson Desert. The people of Pywel believe that Epidote has the power to clear the eyes, giving it traditional significance as a medicinal and ornamental stone. It is one of the harder-to-gather gatherables in the game, as its deposits tend to appear in remote mountainous terrain and borderland areas that are difficult to access. Epidote is mined from crystal deposits and used for jewelry refinement at the blacksmith.

Epidote deposits are among the most difficult mineral nodes to reach in the game. They appear primarily in mountainous terrain and borderland regions where the paths are steep and enemies may be present. Crystal deposits require a pickaxe or the Force Palm Attack to harvest.
Pailune mountains: The mountainous terrain of Pailune is a primary source of Epidote. Crystal deposits are found along high-altitude paths and cliff faces in this region.
Delesyia region: Delesyia contains Epidote deposits in its rocky terrain and mountain foothills.
Crimson Desert borderlands: The border areas between the Crimson Desert and neighboring regions have scattered Epidote crystal deposits.
For a complete map of all confirmed deposit locations, see the Epidote Locations article.
Epidote serves both ornamental and practical purposes in the game:
Jewelry refinement: Epidote is used at the blacksmith to upgrade rings, necklaces, and other accessories. It is one of the key gems alongside Azurite, Garnet, and Diamond.
Ornamental stone: Due to its green color and traditional eye-clearing properties, Epidote has cultural and decorative value in Pywel. Its in-game description highlights its ornamental significance.
The difficulty of gathering Epidote makes it a premium resource. Players who invest time reaching remote mountain deposits will have access to jewelry upgrades that less adventurous players may struggle to complete.
Once you unlock the Pailune region, Epidote becomes significantly easier to gather. Two crystal deposits appear immediately on both the western and eastern sides of Pailune City. These nodes regrow after being mined and stay marked on your map after the first visit, making them convenient stops during regular travel through the region.
The hills southeast of Pailune City contain the highest concentration of gem deposits in the area. Following mining paths through these hills yields both Epidote and Garnet in quantity. This area is the best dedicated farming spot once Pailune is accessible.
Plan dedicated gathering trips to Pailune and Delesyia for Epidote. These regions are not on the main quest path early in the game, so you may need to explore them specifically for gem gathering.
Epidote deposits are often located in areas with stronger enemies. Bring combat supplies and be ready to fight your way to the crystal nodes.
Because Epidote is difficult to reach, gather as much as you can during each trip. Mining every deposit you find prevents the need for return visits.
Epidote and Azurite are both used for jewelry refinement but are not interchangeable. Check which gem your specific upgrade requires before farming.
If you have unlocked companion dispatch missions at the Greymane Camp, sending companions to mountainous regions can supplement your Epidote supply over time.
Once Pailune is unlocked, the two Epidote deposits near Pailune City and the hills to the southeast are far more accessible than the remote mountain deposits in the borderlands.
