Double-sided Invitation is the opening quest of Chapter 5: Guest Unbidden in Crimson Desert. A Demenissian delegation has arrived at Hernand, and Marquis Serkis announces a banquet invitation extended to the Greymanes. The situation is dangerous for Damiane, who has been hiding her Demenissian origins. When the delegation arrives, she vanishes from camp without warning.
After the opening cutscene of Chapter 5, your only objective is to speak with Marius. This quest completes automatically once the cinematic sequence finishes. There is no combat, exploration, or puzzle-solving involved. The cutscene establishes the political tension surrounding the Demenissian visit and sets up the events that follow throughout the rest of the chapter.
The banquet invitation puts the Greymanes in a difficult position. Attending means entering Hernand Castle under the watchful eye of Demenissian officials, but refusing could draw suspicion. Damiane's disappearance adds another layer of concern, since any investigation by the delegation could expose her identity and threaten the entire mercenary band.
This quest is brief by design. It functions as a narrative bridge between the events of Chapter 4 and the more action-heavy quests that follow. The next quest, Unwelcomed Guests, picks up immediately with the search for Damiane.
There is nothing to do during this quest besides watching the cutscene. Take the time to stock up on supplies before progressing.
If you have unfinished side content from Chapter 4, complete it now. Chapter 5 will keep you occupied in Hernand for a while.
Save your progress before starting this quest, especially if you are playing on a higher difficulty setting.
