Overview Expanded
The Black Bear Cannon is a siege weapon mount placed on battlefields and inside fortified positions across Pywel. Siege emplacements are marked as mounts because the player climbs onto them, takes the single seat, and operates the weapon from inside the interaction prompt. When the rider dismounts, the weapon remains in place for allies or enemies to reuse.
Siege battles are large-scale combat encounters in which Kliff and allied troops assault or defend fortified positions, involving dozens of soldiers, destructible fortifications, and multi-phase objectives. Siege mounts give access to heavy weaponry that is not available during normal exploration, and the round, wooden, dome-shaped Black Bear emplacement fires cannonballs in a full 360-degree arc, which is why a single Whistling Arrow called in as an artillery strike is usually enough to neutralize it.
Type
Stationary siege weapon mount. A one-seat emplacement the player interacts with rather than rides across the map. It cannot leave its spawn point, does not consume stamina for travel, and is destroyed by enough incoming damage (300 Health).

How to Obtain
Siege weapons are not unlocked or crafted by the player. They appear as placed emplacements during story chapters, faction quests, and battle challenges. Approach the emplacement and press the interact prompt to mount it. Enemy-held weapons of the same type can often be captured and turned back on their owners.
Where to Find
Fixed emplacements appear on battlefields and inside fortresses during scripted siege sequences. Quests like Counterattack, Rebel Suppression, and Hidden Fangs all feature siege weapon interactions where either side uses ballistas, cannons, or crossbows to tear down walls and barricades.
Usage
Structural damage. Siege weapons tear through guard towers, wooden barricades, and fortified walls that would shrug off sword and bow damage.
Crowd control. Hits from these emplacements flatten waves of soldiers at once, which is helpful when objectives require thinning packed enemy formations before pushing forward.
Fixed position. Because the weapon never moves, pick a firing angle that covers the objective before mounting. Flanking enemies can catch the operator from behind, so pair up with allies or dismount early if the perimeter is overrun.
