Palm Sapling is a ground-planted tree sapling in Windrose. Unlike Seedbed crops it grows directly on any soil tile in the player's base footprint and does not require a Seedbed structure.
In-Game Description
Grows only on the ground.
Planting
Walk up to clear ground inside the player's base with the sapling in inventory and select Plant from the radial menu. The sapling locks into place and starts the growth timer immediately. Plants take roughly 70 minutes of real time to reach full size; the growth continues even while the player is offline.
Harvest
Mature Palm trees produce Palm Wood, Palm Seeds, and a small chance of Coconut on chop.
Mature trees do not auto-respawn after chopping. Replant a fresh sapling on the same tile to refill the slot.
Where to Find Saplings
Drops from harvesting wild Palm trees in the Coastal Jungle and on outer islands. There is no vendor that sells tree saplings; foraging is the only source. Keep a few spare seeds and saplings on hand, since mature trees do not regrow on their own.
Yield On Harvest
Resource | Notes |
|---|---|
Main yield from chopping a mature palm; used in cooking and crafting recipes that call for palm wood. | |
Plantable seed returned on harvest, letting you regrow palms without foraging fresh saplings. | |
Small chance per chop; a food ingredient used in several recipes. |

Tips
Plant saplings in a cleared corner of the base so the full-grown canopy does not block building placement. Because growth continues offline, planting a row before logging off means a fresh batch of wood and Coconut is ready on your next session. Replant from saved Palm Seeds rather than spending foraged saplings.
