Buccaneers and Glorious Hunters

"Buccaneers and Glorious Hunters" is shorthand for the two-quest introductory chain that introduces the player to the Rogue Buccaneers faction. It is not a single in-game quest title; it is a community-convention label that bundles two tightly linked quests: the faction-introduction Buccaneers quest, and the side quest Glorious Hunters that feeds the same NPC and progression.

How the Two Quests Relate

The Buccaneers faction intro and the Glorious Hunters side quest share Henri Boucher as the quest giver and both advance Rogue Buccaneers reputation. In practice, most players find the Glorious Hunters trigger first by exploring the Coastal Jungle ruins, which leads them to Henri Boucher, which in turn kicks off the full Buccaneers arc. The community bundles them because completing one without the other leaves the faction progression incomplete.

Glorious Hunters Walkthrough

Glorious Hunters has a specific five-stage structure that plays out as a combination of Coastal Jungle exploration, a naval engagement, and a return-to-NPC payoff:

Investigate the three Abandoned Buccaneer locations in the Coastal Jungle: Abandoned Buccaneer Camp, Abandoned Buccaneer Warehouse, and Destroyed Buccaneer Fort.
Collect the Broken Musket and the three-page Marcel Boucher's Diary pickups across the three POIs.
Report the findings to Henri Boucher at the Rogue Buccaneers Main Base.
Sink three pirate ships at sea per Henri's request. Any Blackbeard-aligned patrol counts.
Return to Henri to close out the quest and claim the Buccaneer's Friend musket plus 200 reputation.

Buccaneer's Friend Reward

The final reward, the Buccaneer's Friend musket, is a Rare-tier ranged weapon with 585 Pierce damage and perfect accuracy while the player is standing still. It is one of the highest-accuracy muskets available at the Rogue Buccaneers introduction point and is the signature marker for completing Glorious Hunters. The weapon is crafted into the faction-identity loop: pairing it with the Flibustier armor set and the Rogue Buccaneers cannon plans produces a coherent mid-tier Marksman loadout.

Faction Progression

Completing both quests pushes Rogue Buccaneers reputation firmly past the Rank 1 threshold, unlocking access to the Rogue Buccaneers Provisioner inventory at Rank 2. That tier opens the 12-pounder cannon plans, the Flibustier armor set's Jacket and Pants plans, and the first wave of Rogue Buccaneers reward musket recipes. The chain is therefore the fastest path from a starter Ketch to a full mid-tier naval combat loadout.

Relationship to the In-Game Quest Log

The two quests appear in the quest log under their individual titles ("Buccaneers" and "Glorious Hunters"), not as a combined entry. Players looking to track progress should track each quest separately. The bundled name is only a community convention.
