Tales of the Stargazers

Tales of the Stargazers is a side quest in Windrose tied to the observatory POI network in the Cursed Swamps. The quest interacts with the same ancient-Stargazer lore layer as Fate of the Prophets, the multi-site observatory puzzle chain, but is tracked as a separate entry in the quest log.

Context

The Stargazer lore thread in Windrose positions the ancient Stargazers as a pre-pirate culture that left behind the observatory ziggurats now scattered across the Cursed Swamps. Fate of the Prophets is the reward-bearing puzzle chain that sends the player to solve the dial puzzles at three observatories; Tales of the Stargazers is the companion lore quest that fills in who those Stargazers were and what became of them.

How to Start

The quest trigger is a lore note or NPC interaction in the Cursed Swamps region. Once started, the objectives guide the player to specific Stargazer-related locations, most of which overlap with the observatories used in Fate of the Prophets. Doing the two quests on parallel tracks is the standard approach because each visit to an observatory advances both logs simultaneously.

Reward and Progression

The reward block appears in the quest log on the final stage. Rewards across observatory-linked content typically include Tumbaga Ingot (the Rare-to-Epic ascension material), a small amount of XP, and an advancement of the Stargazer lore notes. Specific reward quantities are shown on the final stage in-game.
