Overview
Quest Collections are open-ended, order-independent gathering quests in Windrose. They track a list of unique items, species, or notes; each stage closes out the moment the player obtains one of the listed items. Collections do not lock gameplay progression; they reward trinkets, ring-class gear, and lore payouts on the final handover.
How Collections Work
Each collection tracks a fixed checklist of unique items, species, or notes. A line ticks off the first time you obtain that entry, so duplicates do not count twice.
Order does not matter. You can gather entries in any sequence and across many sessions; the quest log keeps a running tally.
Collections never block story progress. They run in the background while you push Main Quests and Side Quests.
The payout lands on the final handover: trinkets, ring-class accessories, and lore. The fishing line, for example, hands over the Minor Fisherman Ring, which can be upgraded toward the Major Fisherman Ring.
For the fishing collection in particular, some species can be landed from shore with a Simple Fishing Rod, while others only bite from a boat or larger ship with higher-tier tackle, so plan a sailing trip to finish the list.
