Mystery Gift is a feature in Pokemon Pokopia that allows players to receive free items including furniture, decorations, food, and crafting materials. This is the first Pokemon spin-off game to include Mystery Gift functionality. Gifts are distributed via internet connection or by entering 16-character serial codes.
Your Nintendo Switch 2 must be connected to the internet and linked to a Nintendo Account to claim any Mystery Gift. A paid Nintendo Switch Online subscription is not required for Mystery Gift redemption.
Mystery Gift becomes accessible once you reach and interact with the first Pokemon Center PC in Withered Wasteland. This typically takes around 30 minutes of gameplay for players who move through the tutorial quickly, though it can take longer if you explore thoroughly before progressing.

To redeem:
Visit any Pokemon Center and interact with the PC terminal.
Select "Get Items" from the main menu.
Click on "Mystery Gifts."
Choose either "Get via Internet" (for automatic distributions like the Ditto Rug) or "Get with Code/Password" (for 16-character serial codes).
Follow the on-screen prompts.
The reward will be added to your inventory or storage.
An internet connection is required for both redemption methods. Serial codes are case-sensitive and always 16 characters long.
As of May 11, 2026, seven Mystery Gift distributions have been released for Pokemon Pokopia:

The Ditto Rug is the universal early-purchase bonus available to all players who buy Pokemon Pokopia before January 31, 2027. It works with both the physical Game-Key Card and digital editions. No code is needed; simply select "Get via Internet" from the Mystery Gift menu.
The rug features Ditto's signature smiling face and can be placed inside any building or habitat as an interior decoration. Single redemption per save file.
The Snack Set was distributed via a Twitter (X) campaign on the Japanese Poke Times account. Players who liked the commemoration post between February 27 and March 4, 2026 received a unique 16-character serial code via reply. The campaign window has closed, but existing codes remain redeemable until February 28, 2027.
All items in the set are also obtainable through normal gameplay, so missing the campaign does not lock you out of the items themselves.
The Flat-Leaf Plant is a pre-order bonus distributed by select retailers worldwide. Codes were sent via email after physical purchase. Confirmed retailers include Amazon (multi-region), Best Buy (North America), ShopTo (UK), and Amazon Japan (which also bundled a wooden Ditto tray). Codes are region-free, and unlike most Pokopia Mystery Gifts, this code can be redeemed multiple times on the same save file.
The plant is also obtainable through normal gameplay in Sparkling Skylands, so missing the pre-order does not lock you out.
The Town Development Set is a serial code included physically inside the Pokemon Pokopia Official Starter Guide book published by Shogakukan. Contains 10 Lumber, 5 Sturdy Sticks, 5 Stone, a Storage Box, and a Workbench. One redemption per save file. The redemption window runs through March 5, 2027.
The Daily Support Set is a bundle distributed via a serial code in the April 2026 issue of CoroCoro magazine (released March 13, 2026). Contains a Large Mirror, a Storage Box, 10 Tomato Seeds, and 10 Leppa Berries. Multiple redemptions are possible per save with different codes. The redemption window runs through June 12, 2026.
The Chansey Plant is the first universal serial code in Pokemon Pokopia. Unlike most other code-based gifts that require specific promotions or purchases, this code (P0K0P1AGARDENS) is freely available to all players. The code was originally distributed at Pokopia Gardens pop-up exhibits in Paris, Berlin, and London during spring 2026, then released globally on March 31, 2026. The redemption window closes on October 7, 2026. Single redemption per save file.
The plant is also obtainable through normal gameplay (craftable from 3 Leaves and 3 Sturdy Sticks at the Sparkling Skylands daily shop).
The Poke Ball Furniture Set is distributed via a serial code in the May 2026 issue of CoroCoro magazine (released April 15, 2026). It contains three Poke Ball-themed pieces: a Poke Ball Chest, a Poke Ball Table, and a Poke Ball Light. Multiple redemptions are possible per save with different codes. The redemption window runs through July 12, 2026.
In addition to Mystery Gift codes, Pokopia features limited-time events that add temporary content to the game. These events are delivered via online updates and do not require codes. Current and recent events:
Event | Period | Details |
|---|---|---|
More Spores for Hoppip | March 10-25, 2026 | Collect Cotton Spores on Dream Islands; befriend Hoppip, Skiploom, Jumpluff |
Imitation Quiz (Copycat Challenge) | April 1, 2026 (annual) | April Fools quiz; reward: Inflatable Sudowoodo decoration |
April 19-26, 2026 | Milestone-based jump rope rewards including the Jump Rope Trophy | |
Sableye's Gem Hunt | April 29 - May 14, 2026 | Befriend event-exclusive Sableye; collect Red Crystal Fragments for camping furniture |
New Mystery Gift codes are typically distributed through:
Official Pokemon social media accounts (X/Twitter, Instagram, YouTube)
Nintendo Direct presentations and Pokemon Presents broadcasts
CoroCoro magazine monthly issues (J6XX prefix codes)
Real-world Pokemon Center and Pokopia Gardens events
Retail store promotions and special collaborations
Since Pokemon Pokopia is still early in its life cycle, more codes and Mystery Gift distributions are expected as the game receives ongoing support through updates and events.
Redeem the Ditto Rug as soon as you have access to the Pokemon Center PC. It is free and available until January 2027.
You do not need a Nintendo Switch Online subscription to claim Mystery Gifts. Only an internet connection and a linked Nintendo Account are required.
The Snack Set X campaign code is account-specific and non-transferable. If you missed the campaign window, there is currently no other way to obtain that exact code.
CoroCoro magazine codes (Daily Support Set, Poke Ball Furniture Set) allow multiple redemptions on the same save with different codes. Borrowing magazines from friends multiplies your gift count.
The P0K0P1AGARDENS Chansey Plant code is freely shareable and works for any player who has not yet redeemed it.
Limited-time events do not require codes and activate automatically when connected to the internet. Just make sure your game is updated to the latest version.
