Overview
Honey is a raw material in Pokemon Pokopia with dual uses as both a crafting ingredient and a cooking component. It has a distinctive golden appearance and can be found naturally in the environment or produced passively by Pokemon.
Attracting Missing Pokemon
The primary use of Honey in Pokopia is to lure back Pokemon that have gone missing from their habitats. When a Pokemon leaves its habitat (for example, after becoming unhappy or due to environmental changes), players can use Honey to attract it back.
To use Honey at a habitat, approach the habitat and press A while holding Honey in your inventory. The Honey will be consumed, and the missing Pokemon will return to its habitat after a short time. This makes Honey one of the most important items for maintaining a thriving island, since missing Pokemon can disrupt specialties and slow down progress on quests.
It is a good idea to keep a stock of Honey on hand at all times, especially when expanding to new regions where Pokemon may wander off more frequently. Honey can be gathered by Pokemon with the Gather Honey specialty, found in the wild, or purchased from certain shops.
How to Obtain
Honey can be acquired through two primary methods:
Method | Details |
|---|---|
Sparkling Flower Beds | Inspect sparkling flower beds found throughout all regions to collect Honey |
Combee Litter Specialty | Combee periodically drops Honey near its habitat as part of the Litter specialty |
The Litter specialty method is the more reliable approach for steady Honey income. Befriend a Combee and place its habitat near walkways you use frequently so you can pick up Honey drops during your normal activities.
Uses
Honey serves multiple purposes in Pokopia:
Use | Details |
|---|---|
Vespiquen Trade | Trade Honey to Vespiquen through the Gather Honey exchange for exclusive furniture items not available through regular crafting recipes |
Cooking Ingredient | Used in certain cooking recipes, including the group feast during the "Time to Party!" quest in Rocky Ridges where Chef Dente needs 5 Honey |
Flavor Profile | Honey has a Sweet flavor, useful for feeding Pokemon that prefer sweet food or for Mosslax's artifact discovery buff |
Tips
Sparkling flower beds respawn after some time, so revisiting flower-heavy areas periodically yields additional Honey. For a passive supply, befriend both Combee and Vespiquen to create a self-sustaining Honey economy: Combee produces Honey, and Vespiquen converts it into furniture. Place Combee near your main base for convenient collection.
