Motorcycles and scooters are two-wheeled vehicles in inZOI, introduced as part of the v0.3.0 update released on August 20, 2025. This update, which launched alongside the free Island Getaway DLC and the new tropical world of Cahaya, added 14 new vehicles to the game. Among them were several motorcycles, scooters, mopeds, and electric scooters, marking the first time players could ride two-wheeled vehicles in inZOI.
Two-wheeled vehicles are purchased through the same Dream Car smartphone app used for buying cars. They provide a different riding experience compared to four-wheeled vehicles, though they come with a key limitation: motorcycles and scooters can only be driven manually. The "Drive Here" auto-drive feature that works with cars does not function with any two-wheeled vehicle.
The v0.3.0 update introduced several categories of two-wheeled vehicles. While the game groups them all under the broader vehicle system alongside cars, each type offers a slightly different visual style and riding feel.
Vehicle Type | Description |
|---|---|
Motorcycle | A full-size two-wheeled motor vehicle. Motorcycles are the largest of the two-wheeled options and seat one Zoi. Only developer-created motorcycle models can be driven; user-created motorcycle designs from the workshop function as decorative objects but cannot be operated. |
Scooter | A smaller motorized two-wheeled vehicle with a step-through frame. Scooters handle the same as motorcycles in terms of controls but have a more compact appearance. Like motorcycles, they are restricted to manual driving only. |
Moped | A lightweight motorized two-wheeler. Mopeds sit between scooters and bicycles in terms of visual size. They are purchased through the Dream Car app and follow the same manual-only driving rules as other two-wheeled motor vehicles. |
Electric Scooter | A battery-powered scooter variant. Electric scooters function identically to standard scooters in gameplay terms, with no fuel or charging mechanic currently in the game. The difference is purely cosmetic. |
For non-motorized two-wheeled transportation, see the Bicycles article, which covers the pedal-powered options added in the v0.7.0 update (March 2026).
Motorcycles and scooters are bought through the Dream Car app on the in-game Smartphone. Open the Smartphone by pressing P, then tap the orange car icon to launch the Dream Car app. The "Buy" tab displays all available vehicles, including cars and two-wheeled options. Select the vehicle you want, choose a color, and confirm the purchase.
A few important rules apply to vehicle ownership:
One vehicle per household. Each household can own only one vehicle at a time. If you already own a car and want to switch to a motorcycle, you need to sell the car first and then purchase the motorcycle.
Meow currency. All vehicles are purchased with Meow, the in-game currency earned through jobs and other activities.
Used vehicles available. The v0.3.0 update also introduced a used vehicle market. Previously owned vehicles can be bought at half the original price, which may include discounted two-wheeled options.
Color customization. Like cars, motorcycles and scooters can be purchased in different colors. The color is selected at checkout before completing the purchase.
Riding a motorcycle or scooter uses the same control scheme as driving a car. Before you can manually ride any vehicle, you must enable the feature in the game settings.
To enable manual driving, open Options from the game menu, navigate to Gameplay > Driving (Experimental), and toggle "Enable Manual Driving" to On. Once enabled, click on your Zoi and select "Vehicle > Get in Vehicle (Manual Driving)" to mount the motorcycle or scooter and start riding.
Key | Action |
|---|---|
W | Accelerate |
S | Brake / Reverse |
A | Steer left |
D | Steer right |
Left Click | Honk horn |
Tab | Toggle first-person / third-person camera |
Enabling manual driving locks the game to 1x playback speed while your Zoi is riding. You cannot fast-forward time during manual driving sessions.
While motorcycles and scooters share the same basic WASD controls as cars, there are several practical differences that affect how you use them day to day.
Feature | Cars | Motorcycles / Scooters |
|---|---|---|
Auto-drive ("Drive Here") | Supported | Not supported |
Manual driving | Supported | Supported (required) |
Seating capacity | 4 to 5 Zois | 1 Zoi |
Map navigation prompt | Map appears with destination options | No automatic map prompt on mount |
Camera views | First-person and third-person | First-person and third-person |
User-created models | Functional | Decorative only (cannot be driven) |
Vehicle interactions (wash, repair, selfie) | Available | Limited |
The lack of auto-drive is the most significant limitation. With a car, you can open the map, select a destination, and let the Zoi drive there automatically. With a motorcycle or scooter, you must drive the entire route yourself. This means you need to study the map beforehand or keep it open in a separate window to know where you are going. Several players on the community forums have noted that navigation without auto-drive can be inconvenient for longer trips across the city.
Only Teenager-age Zois and older can operate motorcycles and scooters. Children cannot ride motorized two-wheeled vehicles. This matches the same age restriction that applies to driving cars. Children who want independent two-wheeled transportation can use tricycles instead, which became available in the v0.7.0 update.
As of the current version of inZOI, motorcycles and scooters have a few known issues and limitations that are worth being aware of:
No auto-drive support. The "Drive Here" automatic navigation feature does not work with any two-wheeled motor vehicle. You must ride manually to every destination.
Workshop models are decorative only. Motorcycles and scooters created by other players in the workshop cannot be driven. Only the official developer-made models function as rideable vehicles.
One vehicle limit. You can only own one vehicle at a time. Owning a motorcycle means giving up your car, and vice versa.
Mounting issues. Some players have reported difficulty locating or mounting their moped after purchase. The vehicle may not appear at the property right away. A workaround is to click on your Zoi while standing on the street and select the "Vehicle" option to summon the vehicle directly.
City compatibility. Early reports after the v0.3.0 launch indicated that two-wheeled vehicles had navigation quirks in certain areas. The map overlay that shows a destination prompt for cars does not always appear when riding a motorcycle.
Motorcycles and scooters can be purchased and ridden in all three of inZOI's playable worlds: Dowon, Bliss Bay, and Cahaya. Since the Dream Car app is accessible from the Smartphone regardless of which city your Zoi lives in, two-wheeled vehicles are available from the moment your household has enough Meow to afford one.
In Cahaya specifically, keep in mind that heavy rain prevents Zois from driving cars entirely. Whether this weather restriction also applies to motorcycles and scooters is worth testing before committing to a two-wheeled vehicle as your only transport on the island.
Two-wheeled transportation has expanded across several updates:
Update | Date | Additions |
|---|---|---|
August 2025 | Motorcycles, scooters, mopeds, and electric scooters added as the first two-wheeled motor vehicles. | |
v0.7.0 | March 2026 | Bicycles and tricycles added as non-motorized two-wheeled vehicles. See Bicycles. |
Before setting out on a motorcycle, open the map with the M key and plan your route. Without auto-drive, you will need to navigate manually through the city streets.
If your moped or scooter does not appear at your home after purchase, try clicking on your Zoi while standing on the street and selecting the "Vehicle" option to summon it.
Motorcycles seat only one Zoi. If you regularly travel with household members, a car may be more practical since it seats four to five passengers.
Consider whether you truly need a motorized vehicle. Public transportation (subway in Dowon, buses in Bliss Bay, water taxis in Cahaya) is free or low-cost and does not require manual driving.
If you want two-wheeled transport without the manual-only restriction, bicycles added in v0.7.0 are a lightweight alternative that do not require the manual driving setting to be enabled.
Remember that you can only own one vehicle at a time. Selling your car to buy a motorcycle is a commitment; make sure the manual driving experience suits your play style before switching.
Used two-wheeled vehicles may be available at half price through the Dream Car app's used vehicle market, making them a budget-friendly option for new households.
Two-wheeled vehicles are acquired the same way as cars: through the Dream Car app on the Zoi's smartphone. Open the app, browse the available vehicle catalog, and purchase the motorcycle or scooter that fits your budget. The vehicle is delivered to your Zoi's home lot after purchase.
Prices vary by vehicle type and model. Scooters and mopeds tend to be more affordable than full-sized motorcycles, making them a good entry-level option for Zois who cannot yet afford a car.
Riding a motorcycle or scooter uses the same control scheme as driving a car. The Zoi mounts the vehicle, and the player controls acceleration, steering, and braking. Two-wheeled vehicles handle differently from cars in several ways:
Maneuverability: Motorcycles and scooters turn more sharply than cars, making them better suited for navigating tight city streets and crowded areas.
Speed: Full-sized motorcycles can match or exceed car speeds. Scooters and mopeds are slower but still faster than walking or cycling.
Size: The smaller profile means two-wheeled vehicles fit through narrower gaps and are easier to maneuver in dense traffic.
One of the practical advantages of motorcycles and scooters is their smaller parking footprint. They can be parked in tighter spaces than cars, making it easier to find parking in busy commercial districts and crowded neighborhoods. Zois who frequently visit packed areas of Dowon, Bliss Bay, or Cahaya may prefer two-wheeled vehicles purely for the parking convenience.
Like cars, motorcycles and scooters left parked in public areas are visible to other Zois. As of v0.7.0, the car theft system applies to all vehicle types, meaning your motorcycle or scooter can be stolen if left unattended. Parking in a garage or on your home lot is the safest option.
Motorcycles and scooters are subject to the same traffic laws as cars. Reckless driving, running into pedestrians, or other traffic violations can attract police attention. The crime system treats two-wheeled vehicles identically to four-wheeled ones for the purposes of theft, traffic infractions, and legal consequences.
If a Zoi's motorcycle or scooter is stolen, it follows the same process as car theft. The thief gains temporary use of the vehicle, and the owner may need to acquire a replacement through the Dream Car app.
Transport | Speed | Parking | Cost |
|---|---|---|---|
Car | High | Requires large spaces | Moderate to high |
Motorcycle | High | Fits in tight spaces | Moderate |
Scooter/Moped | Medium | Very compact | Low to moderate |
