Flower farming is part of inZOI's gardening system. Flowers are one of several plant types that Zois can grow outdoors on their property. Unlike vegetable crops that require constant attention, flowers grow on their own once planted and serve primarily as decorative elements. A dedicated flower arranging feature that will let Zois combine flowers into bouquets and decorative displays is listed on the 2026 Roadmap as a future update.
Flowers are classified as growing plants in inZOI's build menu, found under the outdoor category. To plant flowers:

Enter Build Mode on your Zoi's property.
Navigate to the outdoor section of the build catalog.
Select from the available flower varieties under growing plants.
Place the flower bed on an outdoor plot with soil access.
Flowers and saplings grow on their own without player intervention. This sets them apart from other plant types in the gardening system:
Plant Type | Watering Required | Fertilizing | Pruning | Skill Used |
|---|---|---|---|---|
Flowers | No (automatic) | No | No | |
Vegetable crops | Yes (regular) | Yes | No | |
Fruit crops | Yes (regular) | Yes | No | |
Potted plants | Yes (manual) | Yes | No | |
Bonsai trees | No | No | Yes (shape selection) | |
Saplings/Trees | No (automatic) | No | No | None |
Because flowers require no maintenance, they are the lowest-effort plant type for outdoor decoration. However, the Gardening skill still governs the variety of flowers available for planting. Higher skill levels unlock a wider selection of growing plants, including more flower varieties.
The key differences between flowers and food crops are:
Purpose: Flowers are decorative. Crops (carrots, corn, lettuce, blueberries, tomatoes, potatoes) are harvested for cooking ingredients or sold for Meow.
Maintenance: Flowers grow automatically. Crops need regular watering and fertilizing to increase quality.
Harvesting: Crops produce harvestable items that go into inventory. Flowers remain as outdoor decorations.
Income: Good-quality crop harvests sell for around 500 Meow each. Flowers do not currently generate income.
Skill progression: Both types contribute to the Gardening skill pool through placement and interaction.
In the current version, flowers function as outdoor decorative objects. They add visual variety to a Zoi's property and can be used to:

Enhance curb appeal and make the front yard more inviting
Create themed garden areas alongside other outdoor objects
Add color variety to properties, especially during seasonal changes
Fill garden space that does not need to produce crops
Flower arranging is a planned feature announced on the 2026 Roadmap by director Hyungjun Kim. When released, the feature is expected to expand flowers from purely decorative outdoor plants into a full creative activity:
Harvesting: Grow flowers to maturity and harvest blooms from garden plots
Arranging: Combine harvested flowers into bouquets and decorative arrangements, similar to other creative skills like Art and Painting
Skill progression: Higher skill levels produce more visually impressive and valuable arrangements
Selling: Sell completed arrangements through the Pocket Market or as business inventory
Gifting: Give flower arrangements to other Zois to boost relationships
Home decor: Display arrangements as indoor decorative items via Build Mode
The exact release timing has not been confirmed. All roadmap features are subject to change and may shift between quarters. Check the Update History for the latest patch notes.
