Thunder God Reward Chain
Restored Balance is the quest that closes out the Master of Thunder questline at the Windsong Peaks. Its reward chain is what ultimately hands over Trace of the Thunder God, so the two are effectively linked: Restored Balance is the turn-in point, and Trace of the Thunder God is the key item that arrives with it.
Faction Gating
Restored Balance cannot be taken on directly. It requires working through the full Pailune faction stack in order:
Pailune Militia to 15 of 27 quests.
Bayhan Tribe, including Lantern Lit Frost.
Scoghorn Tribe cleared.
Longleaf Tribe cleared, which opens the Sa Clan.
Jackal Scheme to liberate the northeastern town, which unlocks the Master of Thunder chain itself.
Windsong Peaks Finale
The quest sends the Greymane up through the mountains to repair the lightning pylons, aligning each one with the direction the lightning is pointing. With the pylons restored, the path to Windsong Peak opens, and the three-phase titan boss at the top delivers the weapon, the abyss armor set, and the reward bundle that ties Restored Balance to the Trace of the Thunder God key item.
