Homes Above the Canopy
The Longleaf Tribe is a Pailune tribal faction famous for its unusual architecture. Their settlements, Longleaf and Longroots, are built high in the canopy, with homes perched atop trees dozens of meters off the ground and connected by bridges. The arrangement keeps the tribe largely hidden from neighbours and makes direct travel through their villages difficult without a guide.
They are not fully cut off from other tribes, but they are especially hostile to outsiders and prefer to remain quietly overhead. Their local knowledge of the nearby Mistwood Hunters and the wider Wayward Woods is what makes them relevant to poaching-related faction content.

Reputation and Rewards
Like every faction in Crimson Desert, this group sits inside the game's five-tier reputation system: War, Hostile, Neutral, Friendly, and Alliance. Most factions begin at Neutral when first encountered, and reputation shifts as the player completes faction quests, contracts, and related world content. Reaching Alliance unlocks three compounding benefits: allied troops that assist in combat inside the faction's territory, exclusive vendors carrying items not sold anywhere else, and restricted resource nodes such as mining deposits, ingredient patches, and hidden dungeons.

Gate Role in the Pailune Progression Chain
Like Skoghorn Tribe, Longleaf Tribe is a structural gate in the Pailune tribal progression rather than a standalone arc. After 15 of 27 Pailune militia contribution quests are cleared, either Longleaf or Skoghorn becomes available on the board. Finishing either tribe automatically unlocks the other, so both chains end up completed on a normal playthrough even if you only actively targeted one.
Returning to the Pailune fast travel point after finishing the Longleaf set triggers the Stjar clan and Odek tribe quest lines to appear on the contribution board. The Odek chain, culminating in the Executioner of Justice quest and the Ashen Warrior fight, is gated behind completing either Longleaf or Skoghorn first.
