Furs are soft Crafting Materials gathered through Hunting in Crimson Desert. This category includes Fleece, obtained from sheep and similar woolly animals, and Feather, gathered from birds. Both materials are used in crafting cloth-based and light armor pieces, as well as certain projectile items and accessories.
Furs are classified as Gatherables under the Crafting Materials umbrella. While not as commonly needed in bulk as leather or ores and gems, furs serve an important role in the creation of light, agility-focused equipment and in certain specialized crafting recipes.

Fleece is gathered from sheep, which are most commonly found in pastoral farmlands and open meadows throughout the Hernand region. Farms near towns often have flocks of sheep that can be hunted or occasionally sheared for their wool. Highland meadows in mountainous areas also host wild sheep that drop Fleece when hunted.
Feathers come from birds of all types. Chickens at farms provide Feathers easily, but wild birds such as pheasants and hawks found in forests and cliffs also drop them. Since birds are generally small and quick, using a bow to hunt them is often the most practical approach.
Fleece is used primarily in crafting cloth armor and padded equipment. Cloth armor is lighter than leather alternatives and favors characters who rely on mobility and evasion rather than raw defense. Fleece also appears in recipes for padded linings that can be added to heavier armor for comfort bonuses, and in crafting cold-weather cloaks that provide resistance to cold environments.
For projectile crafting and ranged combat, the recorded ordinary Arrow Smith recipe uses 5 Timber and 1 Iron Ore, so Feathers should not be treated as a mandatory input for that arrow. Feather does have documented equipment uses: the Raccoon Cloth Hat ordinary +5 refinement row uses 6 Cloth Piece, 3 Fleece, 4 Feather and 1 Abyss Artifact. Keep that refinement recipe separate from any older fletching or decorative-use recommendations.
Farms are the easiest source of both Fleece and Feathers. Visit farms near major towns to quickly stock up on both materials.
Before exploration, budget Feather from the actual equipment recipe you plan to use. The ordinary Arrow record uses Timber and Iron Ore; the older rapid-Feather-consumption advice is not a requirement of that recipe.
Fleece is lighter than hides in terms of inventory weight, making it easy to carry large quantities without hitting encumbrance limits.
Fleece explicitly lists sheep at the Greymane Camp ranch as a source. Both material records also name general-store sellers including Alden and Wynstan, providing recorded alternatives to hunting; exact stock and reset rules remain unverified. Learn Cloth Armors of the World, Vol. I to craft a Raccoon Cloth Hat from 5 Cloth Piece and 1 Fleece. The named species/drop guarantees, shearing interaction, comfort bonuses, inventory-weight comparisons and older hunting advice elsewhere here are not new runtime tests.
