Quest Path
Stage-by-stage progression as recorded in the in-game quest log for Ritual Daggers of the High Priestess in Windrose version 0.10.0. The quest runs 3 tracked objectives from start to completion. Stage-level Required Items are objective-gated items the player must bring to progress; Rewards are items granted the moment each stage is closed out.
Stages
The numbered flow below mirrors the objective list in the quest log. Each entry shows the in-game objective title, the journal description the player sees when the stage becomes active, and any stage-bound Required Items or Rewards.

2 | Stage 2 |
3 | Stage 3 |

Quest Trigger Gotcha
This quest does not always start the moment a player loots the box at the first altar. Several players have reported walking up to a Crocodile-guarded altar in the Cursed Swamps, grabbing the chest, walking away with a Ritual Dagger in their inventory, and never seeing the quest line appear in their journal. The trigger appears to be tied to the altar site itself rather than to looting alone, so leaving the area before clearing the encounter can leave the quest dormant.
The reliable workaround is to return to each altar and kill the surrounding crocodiles before, or shortly after, looting the chest. Once all the Plague Crocodile defenders are dead and the box has been opened, the quest properly registers and the next altar marker is added to the map. If the questline is already partially active but stuck, revisiting altars and clearing every crocodile in the immediate ring around the stone tends to unstick it. Three altar sites in total need to be cleared and looted to gather all three Ritual Daggers.
The same area hosts a handful of unrelated altar quests that ask for offerings rather than daggers, including cocoa plums, bromeliad flowers, and crocodile meat. Those are separate quest objects with their own rewards, so do not assume that completing one altar offering will count toward the Ritual Daggers collection.
Distinction From Enchanted Ritual Dagger
It is easy to confuse the three Ritual Daggers from this quest with the Enchanted Ritual Dagger, but they are different items tied to different objectives. The plain Ritual Daggers are the three altar pickups described above and exist purely as quest-step keys for this collection. Once all three are handed in the only payout is a decorative buildable trophy.
The Enchanted Ritual Dagger is a separate, one-of-a-kind item that drops from the High Priestess boss after she is defeated, and it belongs to the related ruin and sealed-arena questline rather than the altar collection. If a guide refers to using a ritual dagger on a sealed door or cursed plant in the swamp ruin, that is the enchanted version, not one of the three picked up at the crocodile altars.
Reward Details
Completing the collection rewards a buildable display piece that can be placed at a player base. It functions like the other creature trophies in the game: each unique piece nudges the base Comfort System rating upward, with the overall comfort total capping out around 35 once enough trophies and other Decorations are placed. Because the cap is shared, the Ritual Daggers trophy is best viewed as one slot in a wider Trophies collection rather than a standalone power reward, but it is unique to this questline and cannot be obtained any other way.
