Hut

Hut is a prebuilt structure in Windrose, placed in one operation as a complete shelter rather than assembled piece-by-piece from walls and roof tiles. It is the entry-level housing option, suitable for a first-night camp before the player commits to a permanent base layout.

Build Cost

Costs 240 Plant Fiber, gathered from harvesting low shrubs and palms in the starting biome. The whole structure raises in roughly one second once placement is confirmed.

How to Place

Open the Build menu, switch to the Prebuilt Structures tab, and select Hut. The placement preview shows the full footprint; rotate with the mouse wheel and confirm placement on flat ground inside the player's claim.

Notes

The Hut counts as a single structure for the purposes of decay and Bonfire range, so a small bonfire at the entrance keeps the whole building in good repair. Hut walls can later be supplemented with proper roof tiles, doors, and windows from the standard build menu.

Hut vs Hut Frame

If you only need to mark out a footprint before committing materials, the Hut Frame raises just the skeleton of a Hut for 56 Plant Fiber, far cheaper than the complete Hut. You then attach individual wall and roof pieces from the standard Build menu. The full Hut at 240 Plant Fiber is the faster choice when you want instant shelter; the frame is the cheaper choice when you plan to customise the build. Players who outgrow the Hut often graduate to a Tent or a hand-built house assembled from the wall and roof sets.

Tips

• Gather Plant Fiber from low shrubs and palms in the starting biome; 240 is enough for one complete Hut.

• Drop a small Bonfire at the entrance so the whole structure stays inside decay-protection range.

• Place the Hut on flat ground inside your claim; the placement preview shows the full footprint before you confirm.

• Use a Hut Frame first if you are unsure of the location, since it is cheap to tear down and re-place.
