Placement Strategy
The Fermentation Barrel is the dedicated alcohol-production station. Every grog recipe on the Alchemy Table routes through a bottled alcohol made here: Rum Bottle, Whiskey, Brandy, and Madeira are the four most common outputs, and the Reagent Table alchemy extender reads its gating materials from this station's products. Sugarcane, Corn, and seasonally-grown crops are the typical fermentation inputs.
Tips
Build the Fermentation Barrel before the Reagent Table Alchemy extender. Two Rum Bottles are on the Reagent Table's material list.
The barrel does not require a roof or outdoor placement, so it slots flexibly into any camp layout.
Rum Bottle is the most-used Fermentation Barrel output across grog, healing, and provision recipes; keep a stock of at least 10 at any camp.
