Brethren Frigate is a brethren variant of the Frigate ship class in Windrose. A frigate is a true ship of war, meant to dominate open waters. Brethren ships are true sea fortresses, thanks to their exceptionally sturdy hulls and spacious holds. However, they pay for it with speed. Build one at the Wharf with the right Ship Design plan, then outfit the cannon, hull, naval tactics, and boarding party slots before setting sail.

Strategic Role

The Brethren Frigate is the fortress build: heavier hitpoints, more cargo, slower sail. Designed for sustained slugfests, siege-style combat, and long cargo runs where survivability matters more than speed. Brethren hulls pair naturally with Naval Tactics IV: Shipshape for out-of-combat regen and defensive hull bracings.

How to Unlock

To build Brethren Frigate you must first own the Ship Design: Brethren's Frigate plan. Ship design plans are typically rewarded through faction reputation quests, purchased from Provisioners at matching reputation rank, or dropped by named ships during fleet engagements.
