Overview

Blackbeard Outposts are pirate strongholds operated by Blackbeard's crew. They are distinct from the more common Pirate Camps POI class: outposts carry harder patrols, better-fortified structures, and loot that ties into main-story chains (notably the Black Marks of Revenge Is Best Served Cold).
What Blackbeard Outposts Contain
Black Marks and other Revenge Is Best Served Cold quest items
Gunpowder and ammunition caches, including Iron Bullets and Homemade Gunpowder
Blackbeard crew enemies: patrols of Grenadiers, Juggernauts, and Pirate Sergeants
Spirits such as Brandy and Whiskey, which sell well to faction Buyers
Silver Ingots and ship style books pulled from the better-guarded interior caches
Loot Summary
The table below groups the outpost's notable drops by where they come from. Quest items only appear while the relevant chain is active.

Typical Layout
Outposts are multi-section strongpoints with patrol zones at the perimeter, loot caches in the interior, and chest-guarding elites at the back. Approach the perimeter carefully; pulling whole camp is typically fatal.
Tips
Stock at least two food buffs and 15+ healing items before assaulting an outpost.
Muskets snipe outer patrols from range, which reduces the number of active swords on you at close quarters.
Blackbeard Outposts are the main source of Black Marks for Revenge Is Best Served Cold and a key evidence source for The Bitter Pill.

Gunpowder Farming
Blackbeard Outposts are the most reliable Gunpowder farm for ranged builds that do not yet have a Sulfur and Charcoal production loop running at their main base. Two sources stack inside the same outpost run.
Musket-wielding patrols. The NPC muskets you kill on the approach drop a small stack of Gunpowder per kill. The drop is steady across the outpost's patrol routes, so a player who clears the perimeter patrols methodically will come out with enough Gunpowder for a multi-hour combat session even before touching a single cache.
Cache containers. The outpost's interior holds chest-style caches that contain a larger Gunpowder payout per interaction, in the ballpark of a full stack's worth when several caches are cleared back-to-back. The caches respawn on the world's loot cycle, so a single outpost can be revisited for repeated Gunpowder runs rather than treated as a one-time pickup.
Preferred ammo pairing. Gunpowder farmed here is best spent on Copper Bullet or Iron Bullet rounds rather than Stone Bullet rounds, because the stone variant carries a flat 20% Ranged Damage penalty that wastes the gunpowder in every shot. Reserve stone bullets for trash mobs at point-blank range and spend farmed Gunpowder on copper or iron for anything important.
