April 23, 2026 at 07:01 PM
Merged ascended duplicate into base slug; preserved unique Rare-vs-Epic and upgrade-decision sections
12-Pounders: Perfectly Ordered is a 12-pound ship cannon, the Rare-rarity modded variant that ascends to Epic. Set out and kept in proper order, these guns cycle cleanly once engaged, answering shot with shot as their motion settles into rhythm.
A well-timed broadside settles many arguments.

Every ship class in Windrose carries at least one 12-pound slot, which makes this caliber the universal fallback for every captain. Compatible hulls:
Crafting 12-Pounders: Perfectly Ordered requires learning Plans: Perfectly Ordered 12-Pounders, a Rare recipe paper bought from the Rogue Buccaneers Provisioner once your Rogue Buccaneers reputation reaches Level 2. The plan costs Piastre x300 and is consumed on use; one copy unlocks the recipe permanently.
12-Pounders: Perfectly Ordered is crafted at the Shipwright's Workshop. Each station tier accepts higher-grade metals and planks, letting you re-craft this gun with whichever material pipeline your base currently supports.
Station Tier | Ingredients | Output | Craft Time |
|---|---|---|---|
Level 1 | Copper Ingot x10, Wooden Plank x5 | 1s (60/min) | |
Level 6 | Foothills Iron Ingot x10, Timber x4, Shipwright's Tools x2 | 1s (60/min) | |
Level 11 | Mire Metal Ingot x10, Tarred Planks x5, Shipwright's Tools x2 | 1s (60/min) |
The Rare version of 12-Pounders: Perfectly Ordered can be ascended to Epic rarity at the Shipwright's Workshop by combining the base Rare cannon with Tumbaga Ingot. Ascending keeps the Rare-tier effect and layers an extra Epic-only bonus on top so the Epic cannon is strictly better once you can afford the Tumbaga cost.
Ascend recipe: Tumbaga Ingot x7 + 12-Pounders: Perfectly Ordered (Rare) x1 → 12-Pounders: Perfectly Ordered (Epic) x1
Epic-only bonus: Aiming speed increased by 30%.
Perfectly Ordered cannons reward steady accuracy. Each hit within four seconds of a reload extends a 30% reload-speed buff, which can be maintained with consistent gunnery to create a rolling rapid-fire cadence. Best on hulls that can tank return fire without dropping aim, like the Brig or Frigate. The Epic tier adds a 30% aiming-speed bonus, which further shrinks the window needed to land each follow-up hit.

The raw numbers do not change on ascension; the ATK, Damage, Reload, Range, and Accuracy values are all inherited from the Rare input. The only difference is the added Epic-only layer, which stacks with the Rare-tier effect rather than replacing it.
Perfectly Ordered Epic adds a flat +30% aiming speed, which shortens the window needed to land the next hit and extend the rolling +30% reload buff. On rangy hulls the Epic tier is noticeably easier to maintain cadence with. Pair with Naval Tactics IV: Shipshape to squeeze the most value out of the upgraded cannon battery.
Ascending is not always the right call. The Rare tier is already strong in isolation, and each ascension burns Tumbaga Ingot x7 for a single cannon slot. If you are still climbing the Shipwright's Workshop tier ladder, if your Brig is not yet Item Level 15, or if you are rotating between playstyles that favor different modification lines, it is often smarter to keep the Rare cannon and spend your Tumbaga on something else first. The ascension is a one-way upgrade, but the cost also rises quickly if you change your mind about which variant you want on a given hull.
