Corrected roster arithmetic to fifteen distinct characters, named the sibling protagonists and their roles, and scoped the Affiliation column as a community grouping

Silver Palace has a roster of playable characters obtainable through story progression, gacha pulls, and in-game events. Players build parties of up to four characters and switch between them during combat. Each character has a fixed element, class, weapon type, and unique ability kit.
Seven characters were playable during the Monotype Beta (January 13-18, 2026):
The Detective (5-star, Gravitas, Hero) - the player protagonist with gravity manipulation and dual melee/ranged stances
Cinderella (5-star, Ignis) - flame sword and machine gun wielder; also appears as a boss encounter
Cynthia II (5-star, Ignis, Witness) - fire support specialist from House Luna with bread-kitty crowd control
Lorin (4-star, Fulmen, Guardian) - Chief Inspector of the River Constabulary; electric boxing gloves
Alf (4-star, Ignis, Hero) - MISS Maid No. 49; shotgun with flamethrower attachment
Firtho (4-star, Radiatio, Guardian) - doctor at The Corner Clinic; saw cleaver and syringes
Argos (4-star, Glacies, Witness) - bartender and former MISS member; cane sword with healing abilities
Rose (Red Rose) - dancer and Florian superstar, shown in the reveal trailer with a concealed weapon
Ashley - the Detective's assistant, hired in the first act after an interview at the office. She came for the post on her own rather than through Lorin's shortlist of candidates, and asked for no wage in exchange for the Detective taking on a case of hers. No official character profile has been published under her name.
Rex - Superintendent of the River Constabulary. He was introduced through an official character title page during the reveal cycle for the Dichotomy Beta Test. The second test's own reward announcement names him as a 5-star of the Hero class; his weapon has not been officially detailed.
Red Rose is playable from the second closed beta, and she also narrates the July 2026 gameplay showcase that previewed it. Her confirmed rarity, class and element appear in the roster table below.
A July 2026 announcement puts the second closed beta's roster at 15 characters, 8 of them new to that test. That is a test-build figure rather than a launch roster: many characters shown in beta builds are reworked, held back or reserved for later updates, and the actual launch roster size has not been officially announced.
During the beta, characters were obtainable through story progression (the Detective), gacha pulls, the crystal exchange system (Cynthia II), and sign-in event rewards (Cinderella). The full game is expected to use a gacha system similar to other free-to-play action RPGs, with rate-up banners for featured characters.
Players assemble parties of up to four characters. Party composition is affected by class synergies and the Silverdrip combat mechanic that rewards frequent character switching. A well-built party balances elemental coverage, damage output, survivability, and Silverdrip generation. Resonance is a per-character meter rather than a party-composition bonus: each character fills their own meter as they attack, and the effect that fires when it fills is set by that character's Reactor attribute.
The Dichotomy Beta expanded the playable roster past the first test's seven. Rarity, class and elemental attribute are now confirmed for the new arrivals through their official character title pages and the test's own in-game listings. The Affiliation column is the exception: Royalty and aristocracy is a community grouping transcribed from character title pages rather than a camp the game's own faction gallery names. That gallery names S.T.A.T.S. and the River Constabulary only, and a third tab sits locked and unlabelled in every language the site runs in.
Character | Rarity | Class | Element | Occupation | Affiliation |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
5-star | Saviour | Ignis | Dancer | Royalty and aristocracy | |
5-star | Guardian | Glacies | Knight | Royalty and aristocracy | |
5-star | Hero | Fulmen | Superintendent | River Constabulary | |
4-star | Outlaw | Glacies | Secretary | United Mining Industry | |
4-star | Witness | Fulmen | Journalist | S.T.A.T.S. | |
4-star | Saviour | Alba | Apprentice | Hunter's Guild | |
4-star | Saviour | Radiatio | Technician | Kaboom Team |
These arrivals fill two class slots that had no playable carrier in the first test: Bentham is the first Outlaw, and Red Rose, Gucia and Captain Kaboom are the first Saviours. Gucia is also the first playable carrier of the Alba element. Only the Victim class and the Ferrugo element are still without one.
The official character index is laid out as sixteen avatar slots. Fifteen of them carry a filled profile and the sixteenth is blank, held for someone who has not been announced. Those fifteen profiles cover fifteen distinct characters. Two of them are the sibling detectives who share the protagonist slot: Muninn, whose title page reads The Raven's Claws, is the elder sister and the female protagonist option, and Huginn, whose title page reads The Raven's Beak, is the younger brother and the male option. They worked cases together before the story starts, the player picks one as protagonist, and the other is killed at the story's opening, so the pair are two people rather than one character in two presentations. The roster therefore reads sixteen slots, fifteen profiles, fifteen characters.
Every profile in the index carries a career line alongside the name and the occupation. These are the epithets as the index prints them.
Character | Occupation | Official Epithet |
|---|---|---|
Protagonist | The Raven's Claws (female); The Raven's Beak (male) | |
Maid | A Story Truly Yours | |
Bartender | The Eye of Argos | |
Not stated | The Vengeful Ant | |
Luna's Scion | The Goldbud | |
Doctor | The Medical Lancet | |
Chief Inspector | The Indispensable | |
Dancer | The Rose as an Engine of War | |
Knight | Her Majesty's Protégé | |
Superintendent | The Scales of Black and White | |
Secretary | The Quartz Net | |
Journalist | Silver-tongued Headliner | |
Technician | Of Tinkers and Tunes | |
Apprentice | From the Ivory Tower |
The beta builds attach an affinity track to each character, opened from the invitation button at the top right of the screen. The Detective invites a character to visit the office, gives them gifts from the panel at the bottom right, and can summon them to tag along in a companion mode. If a character has not been invited in yet, they wait at the entrance instead.
Gifts move Trust the fastest. Ordinary activity also counts: fighting alongside a character, exploring with them and eating together contribute up to 100 Trust a day between them. Each character has five Acquaintance levels, and what they unlock is character content rather than combat power, in the shape of short interactions, a personal letter and rendezvous scenes. In the second closed beta build the lower levels paid out Ounces and volumes of The Science of All Things, and level five paid a Standard Shot and 50 Reactor Crystals. Those reward values have not been published officially.
An August 2026 promotional trailer showed the cast outside a test context for the first time since the reveal, with Firtho working a forensic examination, the female Detective investigating a neighbourhood, and Ashley, Gratia and Red Rose appearing through the combat sequences. Its closing teaser put several characters in the same enclosed space at once under the title House of Greed, which is the first indication that the roster will be used for something other than a single-player party. Nothing has been said about which characters that content supports.
