Overview
The gacha system in Silver Palace is the primary method for acquiring new playable characters. Players spend a premium currency called Reactor Crystals to make pulls on character banners. The game follows a free-to-play model where all characters can potentially be obtained without spending real money, though premium currency can also be purchased to accelerate the process.
Pull costs
Each individual pull on a character banner costs 160 Reactor Crystals. Players can perform single pulls one at a time or use a multi-pull option (commonly 10 pulls at once for 1,600 Reactor Crystals). This pricing was observed during the Monotype Beta and may be subject to change before the official launch.
Pity system
Silver Palace uses a pity system that guarantees players will receive high-rarity characters after a certain number of pulls without one:
5-star pity: Guaranteed within 80 pulls. If a player has not received a 5-star character after 79 pulls, the 80th pull is guaranteed to be a 5-star. This is sometimes called the "hard pity" threshold.
4-star pity: Guaranteed within 10 pulls. If a player has not received a 4-star or higher character after 9 pulls, the 10th pull is guaranteed to be at least a 4-star.
These pity thresholds were observed during the Monotype Beta. The exact pull rates (the percentage chance of receiving a 5-star or 4-star on any given pull before pity) have not been publicly disclosed. Whether a "soft pity" system exists (where rates gradually increase as players approach the hard pity threshold) is also unconfirmed.
Featured banners and 50/50
Character gacha games commonly use a "50/50" system on featured banners, where hitting pity gives a 50% chance of receiving the featured character and a 50% chance of receiving a standard 5-star character. If the player loses the 50/50, their next pity is guaranteed to be the featured character. Whether Silver Palace uses this exact system, a different split, or no 50/50 mechanic at all has not been confirmed.
Beta context
During the Monotype Beta, players received generous Reactor Crystal allotments through sign-in bonuses and exploration rewards, allowing extensive testing of the gacha system. The beta featured seven playable characters with a selection available through the gacha banners.
It is worth noting that all gacha-related numbers (pull costs, pity thresholds, available characters) are from beta test data. Developers frequently adjust these values between beta tests and official launch to balance the in-game economy. Players should expect potential changes to these figures.
Related systems
In addition to the gacha banners, Silver Palace offers the Crystal Exchange as an alternative way to obtain specific characters. Reactor Crystals, the currency used for pulls, can be earned through multiple in-game activities.
