Overview

Every playable character in Silver Palace is associated with one of seven elements, channeled through Silverium Reactors. Elements determine a character's damage type, skill effects, and team Resonance bonuses.
Elemental system design
As of the Monotype Beta, there is no elemental reaction system where combining two elements produces a third effect (unlike, for example, Genshin Impact's Vaporize or Melt reactions). Elements in Silver Palace primarily determine visual effects, specific move properties, and Resonance team bonuses. This keeps the system simpler but may expand in future updates.
Confirmed elements
Ignis (Fire)
Fire-based damage with burning effects over time. Ignis characters are effective against ice-based enemies, creating a natural counter relationship with Glacies. Known users: Alf, Cinderella, Cynthia II. Ignis has the most confirmed characters of any element so far, making it the easiest element to build a full Resonance team around.
Glacies (Ice)
Ice-based crowd control through slowing and freezing effects. Glacies abilities restrict enemy movement and attack speed, providing defensive value alongside damage. Known user: Argos. Glacies pairs well with Ignis in team composition, as Cinderella deals enhanced damage against frozen enemies.
Fulmen (Lightning)
Shock-based attacks that stun and interrupt enemies. Fulmen abilities are useful for breaking enemy combos and creating openings for follow-up attacks. Known user: Lorin. Lorin's electric boxing gloves make full use of the element's stunning properties.
Gravitas (Gravity)
Gravity manipulation and time dilation effects. This is the Detective's unique element. Gravitas abilities control enemy positioning and slow time, giving the player tactical advantages in both combat and investigation scenarios.
Radiatio (Radiation)
Damage-over-time effects with debuffs that weaken enemies. Known user: Firtho. Radiatio abilities stack damage over time, making them effective against enemies with large health pools who survive long enough for the debuffs to accumulate.
Ferrugo
Confirmed as an element but not yet detailed in gameplay. The Latin word "ferrugo" means "rust" or "iron corrosion." No playable characters with this element appeared in the Monotype Beta.
Alba
Confirmed as an element but not yet detailed. The Latin word "alba" means "white" or "dawn." No playable characters with this element appeared in the beta. The light/purity association of the name suggests it may fill a healing or support role.
Resonance
Building a party with characters who share the same element activates Resonance effects. Resonance bonuses deal AoE (area of effect) damage and provide team-wide buffs. The exact thresholds (whether Resonance requires two, three, or four matching elements) and the specific bonus values were not fully documented during the beta.
Resonance creates a trade-off in team building: a mono-element team gets strong Resonance bonuses but lacks elemental coverage, while a diverse team handles more enemy types but misses out on Resonance. The limited element coverage among beta characters (three Ignis users, but only one each of the other elements) suggests that the full roster will fill out each element more evenly.
Latin naming
All element names use Latin words: Ignis (fire), Glacies (ice), Fulmen (lightning), Gravitas (gravity/weight), Radiatio (radiation), Ferrugo (rust), Alba (white/dawn). This Latin naming convention fits the Victorian academic aesthetic of Silvernia's setting.
