Overview

The Silverdrip system is a resource mechanic in Silver Palace that rewards sustained combat with powerful Ambush attacks on character swap. It is one of the defining features of the game's combat system, creating a rhythm of building stacks with one character and spending them when switching to another.
Building stacks
Dealing damage with any character fills the Reactor, a circular gauge displayed on the combat UI. As the Reactor fills, it charges Silverdrip segments, shown as triangular indicators surrounding the Reactor between the HP bar and skill bars. Each filled triangle represents one Silverdrip stack.
Executions (finisher moves triggered by filling an enemy's stun gauge) charge Silverdrip segments more quickly than normal attacks. This means aggressive play that pushes toward Executions is rewarded with faster stack accumulation.
Spending stacks: Ambush attacks
When a player switches from one character to another, each available Silverdrip stack enables an Ambush skill. Ambush attacks are powerful moves performed by the incoming character as they enter the field. The damage and effects of the Ambush are determined by two factors: the incoming character's abilities and their equipped Catalysts.
The Catalyst attribute activates during the Ambush, adding elemental damage, shields, healing, or other effects depending on the equipped Catalyst. This is the primary interaction point between the Silverdrip system and the Catalyst system.
Combat rhythm
The Silverdrip system creates a natural combat loop:
Attack with the active character to build Reactor charge and Silverdrip stacks
Fill the enemy's stun gauge and perform an Execution for faster stack gain
Switch characters to spend stacks on an Ambush attack
Continue fighting with the new character, building stacks again
Switch again when stacks are ready, repeating the cycle
This loop discourages sitting on a single character for an entire fight. Players who actively rotate through their party are rewarded with more Ambush attacks and more Catalyst activations than players who only use one character.
Interaction with team building
Because Silverdrip stacks fuel character-swap Ambush attacks, party composition matters. A team built around fast Silverdrip generation might prioritize characters with quick attack chains and high stun gauge damage, while a team focused on burst windows might save stacks for a single devastating Ambush from their highest-damage character. The system works alongside Resonance effects and Catalyst loadouts to create layered team-building decisions.
UI display
During combat, the Silverdrip stacks are visible as triangles surrounding the central Reactor icon. The Reactor glows brighter as it fills, and a full segment lights up its corresponding triangle. The visual feedback makes it easy to track stack count during fast-paced fights without needing to check a separate menu.
