Overview
Acquaintance is the affinity layer that sits alongside combat and investigation. It lets the Detective invite other members of the cast into the agency on Morgue Street, spend time with them there, and unlock personal content as the relationship deepens. What it pays out is character material rather than combat power.
How It Works
Action | Where | What it does |
|---|---|---|
Invite to Visit | Button at the top right of the screen | Opens the invitation menu and asks a character to visit the Detective's Office. |
Gift | Button at the bottom right, in the office | Hands the invited character a present. A character who has not been invited in yet appears at the entrance instead of inside. |
Summon | Button at the bottom right | Calls the guest to the Detective's side for Companion Mode interactions. |
Building Trust
Gifts move the meter the fastest. Ordinary shared activity moves it too: fighting alongside a character, exploring with them and eating together contribute up to 100 Trust a day between them, which puts a soft daily ceiling on how quickly a relationship can be pushed without spending gifts.
Gift items are bought from the Gift Shop counter at the Argent Docks, which listed all eighteen of them at 10,000 Ounces apiece with a weekly stock of 50 each in the second closed beta build.
The Five-Level Ladder
Every documented panel runs the same five levels with the same shape of reward. The unlock column varies by character: some levels open an Interaction, some a Rendezvous scene, some nothing at all in the build as tested.
Level | Reward | Typical unlock |
|---|---|---|
1 | 5,000 Ounces, The Science of All Things: Volume I x3, Companionship | Interaction: Keep Company |
2 | 5,000 Ounces, The Science of All Things: Volume I x3, a personal letter | A Special Letter from that character |
3 | 5,000 Ounces, The Science of All Things: Volume I x3 | A Rendezvous scene on some characters |
4 | 5,000 Ounces, Paper Bookmark of Conspiracy x3 | A second Interaction on some characters |
5 | Standard Shot x1, Reactor Crystal x50 | A closing Interaction on most characters |
The Standard Shot at level 5 is recruitment currency, so the ladder feeds back into Gacha System at its final step. Reactor Crystals are the premium currency.
The Character Panel
Each character's Acquaintance panel carries a profile block alongside the reward track: birthday, interests and skills, likes, dislikes, relationships, one or two Further Information notes, three preferred gifts, and an Impression of the Detective line that changes as the levels open.

Impressions of the Detective
The Impression line is the panel's running label for how the character reads the Detective. Most of the higher levels were still locked in the build as documented, so only a handful have surfaced.

Notes
Everything on this page is transcribed from the second closed beta build. None of it has been published in official material, and the reward figures belong to a test economy that has not been finalised.
Level 5 rewards are identical across every documented character, which suggests a fixed ladder rather than per-character tuning.
