Limited-Time Events
April 25, 2026 at 02:43 PM
Added Bulbasaur's Jump Rope Contest, Imitation Quiz, and Sableye's Gem Hunt sections. Refreshed event calendar through April-May 2026 and added a current-status panel.
Pokemon Pokopia supports ongoing limited-time events that introduce exclusive Pokemon, special materials, and unique furniture items. Events rotate on a schedule and require certain game progress to participate. The game uses the Nintendo Switch 2's system clock for event timing, meaning events are date-coded to the console's internal clock rather than an online server.
Pokopia also features a Mystery Gift system for redeeming promotional items via the Pokemon Center PC. This is the first Pokemon spin-off title to include Mystery Gift functionality. See Mystery Gift Codes for the full list of active and expired codes.
All confirmed events run on local time keyed to the Nintendo Switch 2 system clock.

Although it is not an in-game Pokopia event, the Pokemon GO Pokopia Celebration ran concurrently with launch (March 10 to March 16, 2026) and is the only crossover content tied directly to the game. The mobile event added two costumed Ditto variants (hardhat and trainer cap), boosted spawns of 14 Pokopia-relevant species, and ran themed three-star raid battles. For the full list of bonuses and disguise pool, see Pokemon GO Pokopia Celebration Event.
All Pokopia events are gated by the Nintendo Switch 2's internal clock. Setting the console's date manually to a date inside an event window will activate the event regardless of the actual calendar date. This works for catching up on a missed event or replaying an annual event such as the Imitation Quiz. Adjusting the system clock can affect other time-sensitive features (daily resets, Stamp Rally streaks, lucky days), so use this workaround deliberately.
Most events do not require a paid Nintendo Switch Online subscription, but they do require an internet connection so the game can verify the event is currently active and so distribution items can sync. Cloud Island restrictions on certain events (Hoppip, Sudowoodo, Jump Rope) are intentional design choices, not technical limitations.
Starting with Version 1.0.4 (April 22, 2026), players can relocate Pokemon Centers while a limited-time event is underway. Before this patch the relocation tool was disabled during active events, so builders who wanted a different Center location had to wait for the event window to close.
Separately from limited-time events, Pokemon Pokopia distributes promotional items through the Mystery Gift system. These distributions can be triggered with a 16-character serial code (such as P0K0P1AGARDENS for the Chansey Plant) or via internet without a code (such as the Ditto Rug early-purchase bonus). For the complete list and redemption instructions, see Mystery Gift Codes.
Rebuild a Pokemon Center first. Almost every event requires at least one fully rebuilt Pokemon Center. Prioritize the Withered Wasteland Center early-game so you are eligible for any event window.
Stockpile dolls before resource events. Hoppip and Sableye events both require Drifloon to send you to Dream Islands. Bring a variety of dolls so you can pick the island type with the densest event spawns.
Don't rush the shop. Event shops have unlimited stock during the active window, so there is no first-come bonus. Focus on the items needed to build the event habitat first, then loop back for cosmetic decorations.
Cloud Islands are excluded from most events. Hoppip, Sableye, Sudowoodo, and the Jump Rope Contest only fire in main-area Pokemon Centers. Plan event play around your local town, not multiplayer Cloud sessions.
Annual recurrences exist. The Imitation Quiz returns every April 1. Other annual events have not been confirmed yet, but the recurring system is now in place.
