At the Fortune-Telling Shop
Anatolia keeps a shop in the capital where she reads fortunes, and she has a reputation for readings that come true; there is always a queue outside. Dadao and Sha Lan are with her there. That makes him one of a small number of characters the player can find standing in a fixed place in Dagsion rather than only on a battle map. One reading from that shop is on record: Theodora asks who will win the Heroic Games and is told plainly that she will not. Dagsion covers the shop among the city's locations.
In Battle
The Brides of the Pale Raven turn up in force as opposition on the Lion route, and Dadao is fought there and again later in the same story, which is a longer run than most of the clan's members get. The other named members are Sha Lan, Halvin, Nezha and Long. The class listing places him as a Commoner, the shared starting class that can wield every weapon type.
Recruitment
Dadao can be recruited in Part I on all four paths. Every path asks for two Kothar Gar on top of a Support level with that path's lord and a minimum Renown level.
Path | Support level | Renown | Other requirement |
|---|---|---|---|
Cai's path | 3 | 7 | 2 Kothar Gar |
Dietrich's path | 3 | 10 | 2 Kothar Gar |
Theodora's path | 2 | 5 | 2 Kothar Gar |
Leda's path | 2 | 5 | 2 Kothar Gar |
Notes
The Japanese name is ダイトウ, which reads as Daito rather than as Dadao. Both forms name a heavy single-edged blade in their respective languages, so the localisation appears to have kept the sense rather than the sound, but nothing published says so and this page uses the English form throughout.
What Has Not Been Published
As of September 2026, no official profile, presentation or press release gives Dadao an age or homeland, and this wiki has not yet documented how he came to travel with Anatolia or what he does at the shop. His recruitment conditions are set out above.
