Anatolia

Anatolia is a character in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave, listed both as a recruitable unit and as a boss, and she leads the clan called the Brides of the Pale Raven. She matters out of proportion to her screen time because she is the one unit shown so far carrying a gun, which makes her the clearest on-screen evidence that this setting is not the medieval fantasy its armour and lances suggest.

Profile

Her Japanese name is アナトリア, read Anatoria, and the epithet is 神秘の花嫁, Mysterious Bride. The clan name has been rendered two ways in translated material, as the Brides of the Pale Raven and as the Pale Raven's Brides; the underlying Japanese is 白鴉の花嫁団.

Identity

Anatolia is said to come from the west, and the Mysterious Bride epithet is attached to her appearance rather than to any stated occupation. Beyond that, published descriptions of what she actually is do not agree with each other, and no official English profile has settled the question, so this page leaves it open. Her personality is described in one line: she is a rationalist who does not let emotion get in the way of what she does.

One preview account describes her as one of the People of the White Egg, the folk named in the game's backstory as the ancestors of the Saramis people, and reports her calling the Saraminians her kin. That comes from a single hands-on write-up rather than from official copy.

The Brides of the Pale Raven

Anatolia leads the Brides of the Pale Raven, a clan that appears in the story both as guests and as opponents. The other names listed with the group are Sha Lan, Halvin, Nezha, Long and Dao. The clan is one of the several outfits contesting the Heroic Games alongside the four Heroes, and Anatolia is one of the four rivals reported to have reached the final eight of the 1449 tournament, commemorated by statues in Dagsion.

She turns up as a boss on the Dietrich route, fighting House Lamine in the first part of that story and again later. A cutscene shows the two of them in direct combat.

The Firearm

Nintendo's own presentation of the weapon roster mentions "gauntlets that look like firearms" among the unique weapons to find, which settles the categorisation: guns in this game use the gauntlet weapon type and inherit its evasion bonus rather than forming a class of their own. Anatolia is the unit shown wielding one, and the weapon roster names her gun as the Salamander, listed alongside the ordinary gauntlet ladder and the Zerberus carried by Troy. The name has only appeared in listings rather than in official English profile copy, so it is best read as reported rather than confirmed.

Blaze Gauge

Preview observation places Anatolia among the units outside the four Heroes shown carrying a Blaze Arts gauge, and describes hers as the same four-pointed-star type the protagonist uses. That rests on screenshots read by previewers rather than on any published system description, so it should not be treated as a confirmed roster of who can and cannot use the system.
