Yang Jie is a playable character in Fire Emblem: Fortune's Weave. His in-game description calls him a wandering warrior monk who can both fight and heal, and credits him with mysterious techniques. The roster listings group him with the unaffiliated and mercenary characters rather than any of the four Hero clans, which fight under their own banners.
Profile

Gender | Male |
Role | Playable |
Faction | Unaffiliated and mercenary groups |
Starting class | Diviner |
Personal ability | Monkly Havoc (recorded in preview footage) |
Recruitment listing | Lion Part 1 Chapter 4 |
Role
Roster listings put his recruitment in the fourth chapter of the first part of the Lion route, the branch that follows Dietrich, and he shows up in Dietrich's party more often than anyone else's in pre-release footage. He also appears in other groups, so he is not locked to one route. He wears Eastern dress that marks him out from most of the cast.
Combat Role
He is built to do two jobs at once, damaging enemies and healing allies without switching roles, and he starts in the Diviner class. Preview footage records a personal ability called Monkly Havoc. No stats, growths or art lists have been published for him. See Combat System for how units act on the field.
Personality
His listed likes are alcohol, tales of old, distant journeys, and saving the weak.
