Fixed "Cat egory" split word artifact in table cells
Thin Hide is a soft, flexible, and lightweight leather in Crimson Desert obtained by skinning small mammals after hunting them. It is one of five hide types in the crafting materials category and is primarily used in light armor crafting and decorative items. Thin Hide is the most common hide type and the easiest to farm in the early game.

Thin Hide drops from skinning small mammals after killing them during hunting. Interact with the animal carcass after the kill to collect materials.
Rabbits: Common throughout Pywel's grasslands and forests.
Foxes: Found in forested areas and hills.
Other small mammals: Various small prey animals yield Thin Hide.
The drop is guaranteed when skinning these animals. Each carcass may also yield other materials like Small Bone.
Decorative items and camp embellishments at Greymane Camp.
Basic equipment repairs and patching.
Thin Hide drops from skinning small mammals. The main sources are:
Animal | Location | Notes |
|---|---|---|
Baby Deer | Found in groups with adult deer | |
Foxes | Common in wooded terrain | |
Rabbits | Grasslands and forests across Pywel | Very common; easiest source |
Thin Hide can be bought from the Tannery shop in Hernand town. The stock refreshes every day at midnight (in-game time). Sleeping at an inn speeds up the refresh cycle. The Tannery is a convenient alternative for players who want to avoid hunting.
Because foxes and baby deer stay together with adult deer, you can get both Thin Hide and Short Hair Hide from the same hunting area. Each carcass may also yield Small Bone alongside the hide, so always fully loot every carcass to maximize your material gains from each trip.
Hunt rabbits and foxes early in the game to build up a stock of Thin Hide for initial armor upgrades.
Always skin animal carcasses after hunting. Even if you do not need Thin Hide immediately, it will be useful later.
Thin Hide is the most common hide type, so it is easy to farm in bulk during early-game hunting runs.
