Starlight Storm Cave is a hidden waterfall cave in the Hernand region. Like other waterfall caves across Pywel, the entrance is concealed behind a curtain of falling water and marked by a stone cairn. The cave's interior sparkles faintly with mineral deposits along the walls, and the sound of rushing water from outside blends with the echo of dripping stalactites inside.
Inside, you will find the Plate Gloves of the Fallen Kingdom, a pair of heavy gauntlets from the Fallen Kingdom equipment set that combine offensive and defensive stats with strong survivability bonuses.
Item | Type | |
|---|---|---|
13 ATK, 3 DEF, Food Level Effect +1, Restore 2 HP/sec |
The Food Level Effect +1 bonus works the same way as on other equipment with this stat: cooked dishes function at one tier higher than their base recipe level, letting you get better benefits from cheaper cooking ingredients. The Restore 2 HP/sec passive health regeneration is significant for sustained fights, slowly topping off your health without consuming recovery items. Combined with 13 Attack, these gloves offer a strong mix of offense and sustain.
Look for the stone cairn near the waterfall in the Hernand region. Use the Stab technique (RB + Y on controller, or Shift + Right Click on mouse and keyboard) to push through the water and enter the cave. The treasure chest with the gloves is inside.
Throughout Pywel, many waterfalls conceal hidden caves behind their curtain of water. These secret locations are known as Waterside Caves. Players can discover them by completing large environmental puzzles, which reward a key item that reveals the locations of hidden places, usually waterfall caves around the map. A small stone cairn placed near the base of a waterfall is the telltale sign that a cave exists behind it.
To enter a waterfall cave, use the Stab technique (RB + Y on controller, or Shift + Right Click on mouse and keyboard) while facing the waterfall. Walking directly into the waterfall without using Stab will knock Kliff backward and deal damage. Once inside, loot the treasure chest to collect the cave's unique equipment reward.
The 2 HP/sec passive health regeneration makes these gloves useful for exploration, slowly healing damage taken from falls or minor enemies without using consumables.
The Food Level Effect +1 bonus stacks with the same bonus from other equipment pieces, further increasing the value of cheap recipes.
With 13 ATK, these are among the higher-attack gloves available in waterfall caves.
Waterside Cave loot does not respawn. Each cave can only be looted once per playthrough.
