Overview

Meadow Bunting is a bird species found in Crimson Desert. Meadow buntings are known for their distinctive, melodious songs. Their songs are used primarily by males to establish territory and attract mates. Interestingly, they can vary the complexity of their songs based on their age and experience, with older males often having more intricate calls.

Taming the Meadow Bunting
The Meadow Bunting was added to the tameable pet roster in Patch 1.04.00. Capture uses the Sotdae of Bond bird-feeder item awarded by the Pororin faction quest line. Once tamed, the Meadow Bunting joins the small-bird companion roster and perches on the player's shoulder during exploration.
Where to Place the Feeder
The same elevated cliffside near the Spire of Ringing Truth that draws the Long-Tailed Tit also produces Meadow Bunting landings. The cliffs along the higher of the two fast-travel points around the spire pull a mixed flock during morning and early-afternoon hours, so a single Sotdae of Bond placement here can rotate between several small species in one session.
Food and Trust
Meadow Buntings are small birds that accept grains, fruits, and insects rather than meat. Barley is the most efficient grain option (about 25 trust per accepted feed) and is conveniently available as wild plants near the spire's lower fast-travel point. Refill the feeder, wait the usual two to six minutes for each landing, and repeat until trust caps. The full bird-taming workflow and daily feeding caps are documented on the Pet Taming Guide.
