With a Critical Rate bonus at Level 1, the Lanford Axe provides a moderate chance to land critical hits. Building around this with additional Critical Rate from Abyss Cores and equipment can push the crit chance high enough to make a meaningful difference in sustained fights.

One-handed axes deliver wide, cleaving swings that can hit multiple enemies in front of Kliff.
