Overview
The Crimson Desert HUD displays all of your vital combat and exploration information at a glance. Understanding each element helps you react faster during fights and avoid environmental hazards. The HUD size defaults to 100% and can be decreased in the settings, but cannot be increased beyond 100%.
HUD Elements

Health Bar | Bottom center | Red bar showing Kliff's current HP. When it reaches zero, you die. Restored with recovery items and increased permanently via the Health upgrade in the Skill menu. |
Stamina | Center (yellow diamond) | Yellow diamond that drains while sprinting, climbing, gliding, blocking with shields, or performing heavy attacks. Regenerates passively when you stop those activities. Upgradeable through the Skill menu. |
Spirit | Left side (green leaves) | Green leaf icons representing your Spirit gauge. Consumed by certain combat abilities and evasive maneuvers. Regenerates slowly over time. Restored instantly through successful parries or by using Focus (L3+R3 / Left Stick + Right Stick). Upgradeable through the Skills menu. |
Abyss Artifact XP Bar | Left side (yellow bar) | Yellow bar showing experience progress toward your next Abyss Artifact. XP is earned exclusively by killing enemies. When the bar fills, you gain an Abyss Artifact for skill upgrades or equipment enhancements (available after Level 4). |
Minimap | Top right corner | Displays your current position, north cardinal direction, quest marker direction, nearby icons (shops, NPCs, enemies), and marked destinations. |
Date, Weather, and Location | Top right (above minimap) | Shows the current in-game day, time of day, weather conditions, and the name of your current region. |
Body Temperature Indicator | Right of minimap | Vertical meter showing Kliff's body temperature. Green = comfortable. Orange/Red = overheating (equip heat-resistant armor). Blue = freezing (equip cold-resistant armor). Temperature extremes increase stamina drain. |
Recovery Item Slot | Right of minimap (food icon) | Shows the currently equipped healing item. Hold Right D-Pad to swap between different recovery items in your quick slot. |
Accessory Durability | Right of minimap | White bars represent equipped jewelry durability. Blue bars show remaining charges for special accessory abilities. |
Mission Display | Top left | Shows the name and current objective of your tracked mission. Switch tracked missions in the Quest menu. |
Combat HUD Elements
Enemy Health Bar: Appears above targeted enemies. Shows their remaining HP, name, and level. Bosses display a large health bar at the top of the screen with phase indicators.
Lock-On Indicator: A reticle that appears when you lock onto a target. Toggle lock-on with R3 (press right stick) on controller or Middle Mouse Button on PC.
Skill Cooldowns: Active skill icons appear near the bottom of the screen with cooldown timers when applicable.
Parry/Counter Flash: A visual flash and distinct sound cue appear when you successfully parry or counter an attack.
Customization
Open the Settings menu and navigate to the Display tab to adjust HUD opacity and size.
The HUD can be scaled down from 100% but not increased.
Individual elements cannot be toggled on or off independently in the current version of the game.
