Four-Leaf Horseshoes can be refined to increase its stats. Each refinement level requires specific materials and silver.

Four-Leaf Horseshoes are the most expensive horseshoes in the game at a base cost of 5,410 silver. As a Tier 5 (Legendary) item, they are only available from select Saddlery Vendors in endgame regions. Look for them at saddleries in advanced areas such as:
Delesyian Main Saddlery (near Finhold Netmakers, south of the Delesyian Institute).
Varnia Saddlery (near Alabaster Bridge entrance).

Reaching maximum merchant trust (100 points) may be necessary to unlock Legendary-tier items at some vendors. Build trust through daily greetings (+5 per day), completing merchant requests, and gifting items like coin pouches from defeated bandits.
Four-Leaf Horseshoes are the best horseshoes in Crimson Desert, providing +8 Attack and +5 Stamina regeneration per tick. No other horseshoe matches these stats. The Attack bonus is 60% higher than the Tier 4 options (Bow Knot Horseshoes and Steelheart Horseshoes), and the Stamina regeneration is also improved from +4 to +5 per tick.
The high Stamina regeneration makes Four-Leaf Horseshoes the ideal choice for players who rely heavily on mounted exploration and combat. The +5 per tick recovery significantly extends galloping range and reduces downtime during long-distance travel across Pywel. In mounted combat scenarios, the +8 Attack bonus provides the highest horseshoe-based damage increase available.
Given their 5,410 silver price tag, Four-Leaf Horseshoes are a late-game investment. Players should prioritize other gear upgrades first unless they already have strong equipment in their other horse gear slots (Saddle, Stirrups, Champron, Barding).
To equip horseshoes, stand near your active horse and open your inventory. Switch to the horse inventory tab (press R2 on controller) to view your mount's five gear slots: Saddle, Horseshoes, Stirrups, Champron, and Barding. Select the horseshoe item and click Equip to apply it. You can also access the horse inventory through the Lantern button menu while riding.
Horseshoes can be refined at any Blacksmith to increase their stats. Refinement does not cost silver or gold. Instead, it requires gathering raw materials such as ores (Iron Ore, Copper Ore) and other resources through mining and logging. The first blacksmith most players encounter is Turnali in the City of Hernand.

Levels 1 through 4 use standard gathering materials. From level 5 onward, the blacksmith also requires Abyss Artifacts in addition to raw materials. To start gathering materials early, complete Rhett's Request (rewards a Pickaxe) and Turnali's Request (rewards a Logging Axe) after Chapter 1.
