Overview
The Electric Eel is one of the large freshwater fish species in Crimson Desert. It is notable for its ability to generate electricity within its body, a biological defense mechanism capable of stunning or even killing large animals. In the game's Bestiary, the Electric Eel occupies a position among the most challenging freshwater catches, requiring a well-crafted Fishing Rod and experienced technique to land.
Where to Catch
Electric Eels inhabit deep freshwater bodies across Pywel. They are classified as large freshwater fish, placing them in the same tier as the Giant Pond Loach. These fish are not as common as medium-sized species and tend to appear in deeper pools and rivers rather than shallow streams. Once you have gained knowledge of the Electric Eel through the Knowledge Codex, you can use the map marker feature to locate confirmed fishing spots.
Uses
Cooking: Can be cleaned into Fish Fillet for cooking recipes. Large fish like the Electric Eel tend to yield more fillet per fish than smaller species.
Selling: As a large freshwater fish, it sells for a higher price than small and medium species at vendors.

Tips
The Electric Eel is one of the strongest freshwater fish to reel in. Use a Fine Fishing Rod for better control.
Large fish require more patience during the reeling minigame. Wait for the fish to tire before pulling back.
The Electric Eel's real-world counterpart is not actually an eel but a type of knifefish. In Crimson Desert, it behaves like a powerful freshwater predator.
