Overview

The Duskfang Leather Cloak is a Cloak equipment piece in Crimson Desert. It is part of the Duskfang armor set, a collection of leather equipment once worn by Hemon Beindel, the leader of the Hellhounds. Made from a whole hellhound hide, the cloak features sharp fangs and glaring eyes on its hood, giving it an intimidating appearance. It provides Lightning Resistance Lv.3, making it a valuable option for encounters with lightning-based enemies.

How to Obtain

The Duskfang Leather Cloak is found in a small cave carved into a cliff in the Hernand Highlands area, northwest of Bloodhum House (Grace estate).

Step-by-Step Directions

1. Travel to the Hernand Highlands, northwest of Bloodhum House.

2. Look for a cliffside cave entrance blocked by a wooden structure (a gate or barricade).

3. Break the wooden structure using your weapon or the Force Palm skill. A standard weapon swing will also work.

4. Enter the cave and open the treasure chest inside to obtain the Duskfang Leather Cloak.

The cave entrance can be easy to miss because it blends into the cliffside. Look for the breakable wooden barricade as a visual indicator.

Refinement

The Duskfang Leather Cloak can be refined up to 10 levels at the blacksmith, increasing its Defense and Lightning Resistance values. Refinement requires Fleece and other crafting materials. The Duskfang Set

The Duskfang Leather Cloak is one piece of the three-piece Duskfang armor set. All pieces are found in hidden locations across the game world.

Wearing multiple pieces of the Duskfang set provides combined benefits including increased Food Effect duration and Climb Speed. The full set offers a well-rounded bonus for exploration-focused players.

Comparison with Other Cloaks

At 5 Defense and Lightning Resistance Lv.3, the Duskfang Leather Cloak occupies a mid-tier position among cloaks in Crimson Desert. It is stronger defensively than basic cloaks but lighter than plate variants.

Lore

The Duskfang set carries significant lore connections to Hemon Beindel and the Hellhounds faction. Hemon Beindel was the notorious leader of the Hellhounds, a group whose name inspired fear across the land. The cloak was crafted from an actual hellhound hide, and the hood was designed to incorporate the beast's fangs and glaring eyes as a symbol of authority and intimidation. Finding this equipment scattered across hidden locations suggests the Hellhounds' influence once reached far beyond a single stronghold.

Notes

• Only one cloak can be equipped at a time. Cloaks occupy the back armor slot.

• Lightning Resistance Lv.3 is most valuable in areas with lightning-type enemies or environmental hazards.

• The cloak's sell price of 6.70 Silver makes it worth keeping rather than selling, as its combat utility outweighs its monetary value.

• Combined with the Duskfang Armor and Gloves, the set provides a solid mid-game equipment loadout for exploration and climbing.
