Story Context
The Mauritania chapters take Bond into the Webb family's operational sphere via Aleph, a pirate-run black-market hub ruled by the warlord Bawma, the self-styled King of Aleph. Bond raises an auction fee and deals with the local fixer Barkhad Ali to bid on a stolen drone. The auction sequence in Chapter 4 surfaces antagonist faction members; the ambush and boss fight in Chapter 5 confirm the scope of the threat. Charlotte Roth (DGSE) is a co-investigator on the Mauritania chapters.
Bond crosses Mauritania's deserts in a current-generation Land Rover Defender, the off-road vehicle IO Interactive selected as an official brand partner for the region's remote terrain.
The Mauritania mission segment holds 12 collectibles, the joint-highest single-chapter total in the campaign. Full lists are in the Collectibles articles.
Year One Roadmap
IO Interactive's Year One content roadmap, revealed in June 2026, returns Bond to Aleph. An announced post-launch story mission, "Bawma Will Return," sees Bawma, the King of Aleph, request MI6's help, and a Tactical Simulation Mode update adds off-road driving challenges in Aleph's black market. No release dates have been announced and plans may change.
