The Year One content roadmap for 007 First Light was revealed in June 2026, outlining the post-launch content IO Interactive plans to add across the game's first year. Whether that content is free or paid has not been stated: asked the question directly, IO Interactive answered that the announcement did not include pricing details and that specifics would follow through official channels when confirmed. The first roadmap delivery arrived with Update 1.1.0 in July 2026 (see Delivered So Far below). The remaining items are announced rather than released: no individual release dates have been confirmed, the studio has said the schedule may shift and assignments may be reassigned or delayed, and details may change before each update ships.

Story Content
A continuation of the campaign story is planned, and the first piece of it to be announced is the return of Bawma. IO Interactive's wording is that Bawma, played by Lenny Kravitz, will return, with the King of Aleph needing MI6 and personally requesting Bond's help. The premise given is an unexpected alliance between MI6 and Bawma following the events in Mauritania. No mission title, and no release date, has been announced for it; the studio has said only that it is keeping the details high-level to avoid spoilers.
Tactical Simulation Mode
Tactical Simulation Mode is the main vehicle for ongoing post-launch content, with new challenges and upgrades arriving regularly across the year. Announced TacSim content includes:
The Workshop, a return to the Kensington setting in London.
The Aston Martin Valhalla course set on Slovakia's mountain slopes (the Valhalla Protocol).
Off-road driving challenges in Aleph's black market in Mauritania.
A return to The Pearl resort in Vietnam, where a new enemy has taken control.
A Webb Industries investigation, in which players uncover new intelligence about the company and examine an unidentified piece of technology that the studio has described as a potential future adversary for Bond.
Regular additions of gadget upgrades, weapons, leaderboard challenges, enemies, cosmetics, and vehicles.
New Gadgets
Q develops the G2 smart glasses, a new gadget added to the Q Branch gadgets loadout. The in-game gadget is based on real-world display smart glasses from Even Realities.
Features and Modes
New Game Plus for the campaign, described as being explored to add more replayability.
A Photo Mode.
A Wishlist Milestone 5 reward.
A James Bond Day reward, described as a surprise.
Separately from the June roadmap items, IO Interactive announced in August 2026 that reaching 7 million total wishlists will unlock the next community milestone reward: meeting Jack the Bulldog in the Tactical Simulation Mode lobby (IO Interactive Account required). Re-checked on September 13, 2026, the milestone had still not been announced as reached across the official news feed, the storefront event feed, and the game account on the studio’s social channels, and the reward was not yet available. The reward was restated on August 26, 2026 without a progress figure.
Technical
Path tracing and DLSS 4.5 Ray Reconstruction for PC (on GeForce RTX hardware) are dated for September 15, 2026. IO Interactive announced the date on August 25, 2026, and the accompanying store post pairs the update with a performance claim of up to 280 frames per second on GeForce RTX hardware. Players without a capable RTX system are pointed to cloud streaming instead. The update had not shipped as of September 13, 2026, two days ahead of its announced date, as covered on the Glacier Engine and PC System Requirements pages.
Nintendo Switch 2
The Nintendo Switch 2 version still has no announced release date. The June roadmap reconfirmed a Summer 2026 window without naming a day, and IO Interactive's own August 20, 2026 announcement is internally inconsistent about the window: one passage places the launch later in 2026 while another passage in the same release places it later in Summer 2026. Because the primary source disagrees with itself, neither wording can be treated as the confirmed window. As of September 13, 2026 the Summer window has effectively run out with no date attached: the last first-party mention of the port was the Gamescom 2026 show floor in late August, and nothing on the official news feed, the storefront event feed, or the game account since has named a day.
Context
The roadmap was announced alongside IO Interactive's report that 007 First Light had sold 2.7 million units in its first week and passed 3 million within roughly two weeks, making it the studio's fastest-selling game. Sales reached 4 million units within the first three months, a milestone IO Interactive announced on August 20, 2026. See the Reception page for the full sales picture and the Day One Patch page for the post-launch patch history.
Delivered So Far
Game Update 1.1.0 (July 24, 2026), presented as Update #1: Behind Enemy Lines, delivered the roadmap's first TacSim content: The Workshop Escalation set in Kensington, a second new Escalation called Extraction Avenues, and four new store rewards (the Stormberg 50'cal, DRX-2 Machine Pistol, and DRS-7 Silenced SMG weapons plus the Diamond in the Rough outfit), alongside fixes for more than 200 reported issues. The Day One Patch page carries the full notes.
As of September 13, 2026 the path tracing update is still the only announced roadmap item that has been given a release date. The rest, meaning the Bawma story continuation, the Aston Martin Valhalla course, the G2 Glasses, New Game Plus, Photo Mode, and the milestone rewards, had neither shipped nor received dates. Game Update 1.1.1 on August 28, 2026 added no roadmap content: it was a stability and achievements pass.
