The Brethren of the Coast provisioner stocks Brandy once you reach Faction level 3. At 10 Piastre per bottle it is one of the cheapest ways to keep a steady supply for grog brewing, and the camp restocks over time.
Beyond the Brethren of the Coast provisioner, Brandy turns up as loot. It can be pulled from supply caches found at Blackbeard outposts, dropping 1 to 3 bottles at roughly a one-in-three chance per cache. Buried treasure hauls and certain faction quest rewards (for example the Underground Network chain) also hand out several bottles at once, so it is worth opening every cache and chest you pass rather than relying on the vendor alone.

The +15% Damage Resistance from Hard Grog runs for 30 minutes by default and stacks with armor set bonuses, which makes it the go-to drink for tanking through Bosses and long dungeon exchanges. The duration can be tripled to 90 minutes with the Naval Tactics III: Stretch The Supply talent, so a single brewing session at the Alchemy Table can cover an entire outing. Hiring Rosalinda Mercer as your alchemist increases batch output, stretching each pair of Brandy bottles further.
